“Decent hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

In spite of having a reservation in the Silk Road hotel we were sent out from the silk Road without any help. Our taxi driver took us to the Oasis hotel, about 50 meters away from Silk Road Hotel.
The location of this hotel is good, very near the James Mosque. The room was a little small but pleasant and comfortable with private bathroom and Western style toilet. The room was a very good value for money. The manager (a young man) was very very friendly and very helpful with good English. He was the most friendly hotel manager we met in Iran.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who want to stay in Yazd.

Simplistic, rustic and traditional. This house is 500 years old. It neighbors market styled alleyways. A mosque was the immediate view from my window. The charm of this place was only made better by the outstanding manager. Eggplant dishes and stew are good. Breakfast better than most other guest houses of similar calibre. This is the smaller sister-hotel of the Silk Road Hotel. Dont forget to check out the panoramic rooftop view.

Room Tip: All rooms sharing courtyard are excellent.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Upon leaving Esfahan, I have asked my hotel (Hotel Iran) for a recommendation on where to stay in Yazd. They told me the Silk Road Hotel would be the best choice and called in to book me a room there.

Upon arrival, it turned out that Silk Road the hotel was full with Chinese and Korean tourists, so they led me around 50 meters to the Oasis hotel, which is managed/owned by the same owner as the Silk Road. It is likewise centrally located, just steps away from the main mosque. The layout is very similar to Silk Road, huge courtyard with comfy patio where locals/tourists chill and hang out, there's a restaurant offering good value meals/drinks. I found the environment very relaxing and friendly.

The room was a good value, clean and comfortable. There was a strong wifi signal on the property, the breakfast was extremely nice, with proper buffet (not too much choice), which was a change to standard bread/jam/cheese combo found in most other hotels in Iran.

The personnel was very friendly, they arranged me a late night cab to the bus terminal and were very helpful answering all my other questions. I'd definitely stay here again instead of going to the Silk Road, which tends to be a bit too crowded for my taste.
