“Simply Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

This hotel experience in the beautiful Mekong area was certainly one to remember. The room (number 7) was just perfect for our family of four. The two rooms were separated by a lockable door which allowed adequate privacy. We were on a high level with river views. Every staff member greeted us with that traditional Vietnamese smile with readiness to please. Wait for the breakfast on the roof top level....the 'al a carte' menu is sure to impress. You won't be disappointed, Nam Bo is amazing!

Room Tip: Room 7 was quiet, large and perfect for our family of four.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2014 and selected this hotel from reviews on TA. A fantastic little hotel overlooking the Mekong river. Excellent roof top restaurant where breakfast is served. This is included in the room rate has a good range of choices both Western and Viet.
Rooms well decorated and presented. Quiet and good air con, excellent free Wifi, beds pretty hard but this seems to be a Vietnamese thing!
Hotel was able to book a range of trips, the floating market was a highlight but you need to get going early to see all the market activity and the sunrise. Hotel can also organise trasfers by car from Ho Chi Minh airport or city if you want. This is a 3.5 hr trip.
2 days in Can Tho was enough for us, next time would take an extended trip up the Mekong.

Room Tip: only a couple of rooms overlook the mekong, the rest have some side views.

My husband and I spent 1 night at Nam Bo ( the last night in Vietnam) and are sad that we couldn't stay longer!
The rooms are large and very tastefully decorated. Our room had a living area with a mini kitchen and a bedroom with an attached bath. The windows overlooked the promenade by the river and the view was breathtaking. The restaurant on the top floor near the fitness centre was superb. The ambience and colonial feel to the whole hotel was what impressed us most. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Room service was excellent. Nam Bo is truly a boutique hotel where guests receive personal attention as the number of rooms are limited. I wish we could gi back there some time in the future.

Room Tip: Choose a room with uninterrupted river views.

In a 3 week Indochina trip, the Nam Bo Boutique Hotel, in Can Tho, was the most delightful lodging. All-suites, the luxurious corner suite provided a living room, bedroom and bath, with balcony views of the town. The rooftop restaurant was elegant, with white tablecloth service from another era. Complimentary cocktail and sumptious included-breakfast, were served with flourish. We chose to have dinner there and celebrated a birthday on a charming balcony with river views, and were truly transported with the ambience.

Room Tip: All suites seem quiet and elegant, although the corner suite had balconies in two directions for add...

Room here was fantastic - corner suite overlooking the riverfront parks and close to all the action here in Can Tho. By Vietnamese standards, pretty expensive but definitely worth it. Staff super friendly and the rooms and facilities spotlessly clean.

This hotel was lovely. On our first morning we were leaving for the river tours at 5.30am and so would have missed breakfast which starts at 6am. The team at Nam Bo were extremely accommodating and provided us with the most generous take away breakfast. We had fresh fruits, toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, cakes, bacon, sausages, omelette, toast, jam, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. It was great and to top it off we had our breakfast on our river boat cruise. The following day we had our breakfast on the roof top terrace and it was superb.
The rooms in the hotel are very well kept and spacious. The staff are friendly and the location is excellent for the boat tours ( just across the road from the hotel).

Fantastic hotel all round and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for only one night and I wished we could stay here longer. This hotel is very unassuming from the street. It doesn't have a large or impressive lobby, but as you as you get into the room, it is just luxury. All the rooms are suites.
Pluses:
1) breakfast was wonderful. I think it must have 6 courses and everything was good.
2) The staff, from the front desk, bar, and breakfast restaurant was all excellent.
3) Great location and great view from the top floor, overseeing a park with Ho Chi Minh's statue.
Minuses:
Can't think of any except that it doesn't have a gym, but I didn't expect it to.

Room Tip: this is a tip for the diners--there is only one table that has an incredible view. You should ask fo...
