“Short hike ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Worth the steep hike in order to have a picturesque view of the city. Wear a good pair of shoes as the terrain is quite rough. But it will take only about 15 minutes max of hiking. I would imagine u will be able to get a good sunrise or sunset from here. Separate entrance as well. U'll need to pay another 100 thb to reach this wat. Well worth it imo

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The walk to the top is exhausting, so I don't recommend doing coming here in the afternoon. But the view is absolutely fantastic. Well worth making the climb up the hill.

“Beautiful sunrise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

On the western edge of the park you can find this temple with it's standing Buddha on the crest of a hill. The climb up there is steep and exhausting, but you're rewarded with a nice view over the whole Sukhothai area. In the morning, at twilight when the first rays of the sun rise on the horizon, you can take amazing pictures from up there. The Buddha faces to the east, so it will come ablaze with the sunlight and stands out on the hill. I guess you won't find it as beautiful later on, so to enjoy this place, try to get there early.

“Super place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I enjoyed this site as there were less travellers and no coach tours. You should arrive at this site at 090, hire a bike and ride and chill out... Nicer I thought that the Old City...more trees and a river...loved it... Not enough time spent though.

“Nice are for a bike ride”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

This site itself is nothing spectacular but you can visit it as part of a loop through the western edge of sukhothai since it is located west of the main park. The loop is more remote and quite with a number of ruins, most of which are just chedi's or foundations of buildings. The ruins are less of the draw, it's a nice quite ride. Head west out of town on the rt 12 for about a couple miles where you will reach a dirt road turn off with a guard post where you pay your entry fee for the area, it's additional to the main park.
