This hotel seems to have been conceived and is operated for the up-market package tourist. The entrance hall, bar and restaurant areas are superb, and the meals and restaurant service are five-star. The bedrooms are OK, although a bit small and dowdy, and I hated the decor. The room rate I paid was 870 baht, which is unbelievably low. Very friendly and helpful staff; courtesy bus to the airport.
On the other hand, this place gave me the creeps. Totally "Englished", even not very good singers in the restaurant singing English songs, with the Thai style sadly missing. There were only Western tourist visitors when I was there. The hotel is nowhere near anywhere, and after dinner there is absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing, to do. Even the carefully disguised seperate karaoke building next door was empty. Maybe things are better in season, whenever that is.
No coffee-making facility in bedrooms, as advertised in the brochure, and the water pressure is a bit low. The isolation and artificiality irritated me; if this hotel was in the centre of London it would be five-star plus.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights beginning August 11, 2006. The place is a medium sized hotel, anyway one of the biggest in Phitsanulok. The staff was incredibly nice. Me and my girlfriend were the only western guests, besides us i saw only oriental people. This made it somehow special. We ate twice at the main restaurant, and were treated in a very profesional manner, with very good food. The room was nice, nothing too special, but confortable overall. The entrance hall is probably the best part of the hotel, spacious with piano bar. What they could improve is definitely the breakfast service, a bit plain. Overall, great value and a pleasant stay.

I have stayed at the Phitsnulok Thani several times, and I will be back. Despite a slightly frayed appearance, the hotel is well appointed and clean, and the service and prices are good. I would certainly recommend this hotel over any others in Phitsanulok. The hotel restaurant is okay, but you can get much better food at the seafood restaurant across the road. (Cross the road in front of the hotel's main entrance, turn right and you'll find the restaurant 20m down the road on your left.)
