Stayed here on a tour, Pacific Delights, after driving from Bangkok and the bus having a fuel leak on the highway. We were advised after checkout that we owed money for phone calls (which I used an international phone card). They actually sent a rep. from the hotel to meet me at our next scheduled stop so they can collect the debt. The tour bus actually had to return all the way back to the hotel for me to settle this ridiculous charge. I argued insistantly that nowhere does it state you are charged per dialed call even if you use a calling card to pay for it. They got really pissed at me and said "then you pay nothing!" I found that even in hotels, Thais are keen on getting their hands on your money. Rooms were not attractive and facilities just average. This hotel caters to mass tours of people.

“Very run Down”

Amarin Lagoon Hotel

May 6, 2007

This hotel is designed for a one night stay for large tour groups. The rooms are dirty, dark and very run down. The bathrooms are poorly lit and the sink, vanity, tub and the tiles are chipped and have burn marks. The beds are hard and the linnen smelled bad. All in all, this hotel is in desperate need of cleaning and remodeling. The dining room offered avarage buffet fare made for large groups on stop-overs. Not the place for individual couples and if you enjoy beauty.

“Disappointed”

Stay in this hotel for one night as part of a tour of northern Thailand. The room was very dated, the bathroom was in poor condition, the bed was horrible - blood stain on the mattress which showed through the sheet, I wished I had not looked inside the pillow case as the pillow looked about 20 years old and was covered in stains - yuck - I did not sleep well that night! We had a dinner and breakfast buffet in the hotel - the food was ok but cold. Decided to have a few drinks in the bar to help us sleep in gross bed - bar area was nice although the service was not good - the people behind the bar were too busy watching some Thai soap on the TV and took there time to drag themselves away to serve us . Used the internet service which gave us something to do, as the hotel is not that close to the town centre. I would never have chosen to stay in this hotel and felt it was a bad start to our tour - we were glad to leave in the morning.

“A very average hotel”

We stayed for one night as part of a tour. Everything about this hotel is average, except the beds which were rock hard. I would not have booked this hotel if we were travelling independently. But the rate of about USD$27 is cheap for what you receive, even by Thai standards.

Stayed here as part of a tour. Grounds were fairly nice. Nice pool, but no one was in it. Dining room overlooks the pool area. Breakfast was decent. No hair dryers in basic rooms and it took a good 45 minutes to get one in the morning. Lots of mosquitoes. Rooms could use some revamping. Location isn't the greatest. Bus will take you into town and pick you up for 100 baht/pp.
