“Not much chop!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

It was just on the way from our fun trip at Pai Canyon to the little road at the back where the Elephant Camp is. We just walked up and down the bridge and that was really it.

“Lots of history”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

Lots of history, nothing much other than that. Just a bridge to walk on and loads of touristy shops there.

“An iron bridge”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

This bridge commemorates the Japanese occupation of Thailand. It is not the bridge built by the Japanese, that was burnt down when they left. OK for a shirt visit and photo op. Good bamboo coffee shop near by with excellent homemade ice cream.

“Worth a quick stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

Bridge across river Pai, known as Memorial Bridge is one of the historical bridges in Thailand, though not as popular as the one across River Kwai.

Pai Memorial bridge was built in 1942, destroyed in a flood later and rebuilt again.

Today tourists can have a quick stop here, enjoying the scenery around and taking a walk across the bridge.

Do mind the gap in flooring

Following attractions are available:
1 Take a ride in the river on bamboo rafts
2 Take photo with Jack Sparrow or old scooter etc
3 Cafe with free wifi available
4 Lots of shops for shopping
5 Take photo next to telephone booth or post box

It is free and open round the clock.

“Historical Bridge”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

Somewhat interesting bridge in terms of it's history, but basically made into a tourist trap with stalls of knick kncaks for sale on both ends. Again--something to kill time in Pai
