“Good Location. Simple hotel: needs for a renovation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

The hotel is in a very great place, 10 min to the pier but very quite.
White sand and clear sea are just below your eyes. In the area there are tons of diving centers, restaurants, markets and shops. Main beach is just only to 5 mins by motorbike.
Rooms are quite small and the bathroom is very humid and it has an unconfortable smell.
Staff is very cold if compared to the other hotels we stayed during our extensive trip in thailand.
For the same rate i would choose for something else very close to the hotel. I would definitely stay on the same coast/side of the island.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a fan bungalow for over 2 weeks. Originally we were planning to stay a week and then we kept asking the staff if we could longer. The bungalows are pretty basic but the gardens they are situated in and the beach access with the waterfront restaurant make it a great little gem. The meals are nice and also cheap, plus you can buy beers at the same price as the 7-11!

Room Tip: By swimming pool I mean the beach!

Try this local Dive Tour, Much less Passengers per Boat. Other Well known Dive Shop, could pack some 40-50 people in one boat.

The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is good but for the money you can probably find somewhere with a pool and a few more amenities. Don't dismiss this hotel though as the staff are great and the rooms really are pleasant. The tv doesn't have any English speaking channels if this matters to you.

We had a nice stay at the resort. We first had a bungalow and later a family bungalow as we decided to stay longer due to a diving course.

Very friendly staff. Nice bungalows according to the Price. Alright food from the restaurant.

Great location near the pier.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

We stayed here for 7 nights in August and would recommend it to families especially if the parents want to go diving. We had a very clean family bungalow with 2 double beds, hot shower, fridge, AC and TV (Thai channels only). It was very quiet as it was a bit up the hill from the beach bar etc. The dive shop looked after our kids while we did a Nitrox course and the children were welcome to come along on the dive boat which was much less crowded than a lot of others run by the larger operations on Koh Tao. The food was pretty good at the hotel though we also ate at the Tattoo bar up the road. The hotel had a nice family-run atmosphere and was not too expensive. We could go down to the beach from the room without encountering a road (it's near the end of a sandy track used by pedestrians and mopeds) and the beach was nice and shallow with very warm water. The nearness of the ferry/dive boat piers was not a problem as the water still seemed clean. We would definitely go back as we had a very relaxing time.

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Thailand and we were looking forward to some luxury as we booked a sea view room.

As we settled into our room we realized that we could hear everything being said by our next door neighbors. As the evening drew on, the music from the bar next door blared out. We may as well have been sat at the bar ourselves for the sound quality of the music we got! At this point, there were no staff left around to enquire about changing rooms.

The room had a strange smell to it, almost sewage like and it appeared that the toilet was leaking too.

Our little bit of luxury turned into our worst hotel stay out of 9 hotels in 4 weeks, and our most expensive. A shame to end our vacation on this note.

Pay a little extra and go to a proper resort...
