I can highly recommend this hostel, it is clean, the beds are good and through the separation of the bunk beds, I slept very well without any disturbance of the other people.

The hostel is located next to the pier so you can walk from the ferry to there. Also you need to walk if you want to go out for party. For eating out or shopping or anything else there is a lot around.
I met with people on the little outside area and we had a great time. There is an english bar just across the street, so food and drinks are within walking distance. Also it is not too far from the beach. Except the main beach which is 10 minutes walking distance.

The hostel itself is really nice however the social aspect isn't the best.

The bar next door is essentially the common area but not enough people where using it as such. Many people during my stay were in groups and didnt socialize much. The area outside seats a few people but the hostel could use a larger common area.

Everything else was fine.

Its close enough to saree that you can walk (20 minutes) and you can rent bikes at the hostel. The bar next door closes relatively early so you wont be kept awake. The AC works fine and the bathrooms are always spotless.

If you come here and have trouble meeting people I would recommend doing the Koh Tao Bar crawl.

#central location #new and clean #sociable

In fact i stayed there twice. The location is very central near the piers, but if you're staying a longer period on the island you may move to a place near the famous Sairre Beach as well. I liked it especially because of the small porch to the street side, where you're able to make friends with all the (outgoing) hostel guests. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. I had a really good time there.

This hostel is in an excellent location close to all amenities and the major entry points to Koh Tao. I stayed in one of the larger dorms, and whereas some people had complained of some noise in the night, my earplugs protected me from this and I slept fantastically- even when I got up mega early.for diving. There was an issue with the air con while I was there, but it was quickly remidied and we were constantly updated on the progress. The whole hostel is immaculately clean and modern and was very comfortable. The biggest asset is the staff that are located next door in the travel agent. They are fun, helpful, willing to go the extra mile to help and overall just really good people. You can tell that Rolf (hope I spelled it right) the owner has put a lot of effort and work into the place and has a gebujne interest in people having a good stay. A fantastic choice for a sociable backpacker on a budget.

I was there just one night, the hostel has a good location just two streets from the pier in maee had, that is perfect when you arrive debasted and sea sick from your journey.
The staff was really nice, and the bed was confortable, the wifi works, the place is clean but sometimes the toilets stink (but it's thailand).
The only litlle complain is that they don't have common area and that make difficult meet people If you travel alone, but it's not a big deal.

We stayed here for 7 or 8 nights while on the island. The staff and owner Rolf were awesome, friendly and extremely helpful. This hostel is very clean, hot showers and clean washrooms as well. Just a short walk from the pier and right near Mae Head beach. Try the Reef Bar directly across the street, great food and cheap brews and soccer on all the time!

Big thanks to Rolf and Erin... Keep up the good work!

Arrived pretty sleep deprived but thankfully the check in process was painless so I could quickly get to bed. Linked in with a bar next door that has sport on and great food. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms clean and air con mighty. Didn't find much to do on Koh Tao as I wasn't too bothered about diving so do that if you come here!
