The first thing that set the mood for me at this lovely tucked-away gem of a restaurant was the slice of LEMON - not lime, an actual lemon!!! - in the Coke I ordered. Things only continued to get better. On my first visit, I was treated to the foccaccia which was truly out of this world. The homemade pasta was delicious as well. Really great ambiance here; a bit removed from the craziness in downtown Sairee, Thaita is quiet, peaceful, and charming. Came back for a second visit with a friend after telling him it was the best Italian food on the island. He proclaimed it to be a real treat - the seafood salad was bright, fresh, and flavorful, and the bruschetta was a large portion overflowing with ripe tomatoes. I requested a dish not on the menu and the proprietor went out of her way to make sure I got exactly what I had dreamed up. I practically licked the plate it was so yummy!!! Yes, I will be back. Again, and again, and again. Just watch your shoes - Banana always seems to think mine are tasty.
