Stayed here for six nights. The beach, the view and all the surroundings were nice. The bungalow was also good. Except all the cockroaches. Hu. I had loads of them, but of course that is not the resort's fault. It is nature. But if I were the staff, I would have helped a lonely and really scared girl with the problem. They gave me a cockroach spray can, but I did not fancy entering my bathroom because I had around 80 "friends" in there. Well, I had to. I was trying to get help from the staff, but they said that I had to do it myself and "just sweep them away when they are dead". So I did my first cockroach murders. After the massacre, when I had to sweep the corpses away, I kind of freaked out. Could not do it. So I went back to the reception and begged and begged and FINALLY they came to help me. The man who helped me screamed a bit when he saw the animals, so I guess the cockroaches usually don't live there?
About the staff: two of them were ok. One waiter and one of the persons who collected rubbish/helped out with mosquito nets etc. The rest was quite rude. An example – when I arrived 05 in the morning, I went to the reception with my huge backpack (I am a small person, and I think it is hard to take the backpack on and off all the time so I left it on). Started waiting. Around ten persons sat in the restaurant watching tv and hanging around. I didn't know that they were all working at the resort, and one of them just pointed at me and sighed "falang" and continued doing nothing. After 20 minutes one of them left this chair and helped me, without smiling. Maybe that is normal, but I am not used to that kind of treatment (not because I am a demanding snob, just because I treat every person I meet nicely). Does the resort sound awful? It is not. The food is very good and clean. The food service is super fast. The coconut shakes are to die for. And the restaurant's vegetarian options are good and many.
