“Excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Fantastic view at sunset. Great food and nice drinks. Not too expensive, we paid 1400 baht for a meal for two including service. Ask for a fan to avoid getting eaten alive by mosquitoes!

“Fabulous location and great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

The Starlight is tucked away within the Charm Churee holiday village and was a fantastic surprise when we found it. Most of the seating is on the floor which can take a bit of getting used to. Beautifully lit and great spot to watch the sun go down , although you do get a lot of photographs being taken and people posing. The duck curry was excellent - spring rolls pretty average - but food generally good - and definitely a must to eat there if you are stayng on Koh Tao.

“Good for the view only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

We'd heard a lot about the Starlight at Charm Churee Village so we decided to go check it out. Its quite a walk from Mae Had pier and not entirely worth the effort if you're gastronomically inclined. If you want to see a nice sunset, then you're in one of the many right places on Ko Tao. The service is good but the food is disappointing and ridiculously overpriced for its quality. We had lemongrass crusted chicken, which was 5 small pieces of deep fried boneless chicken covered in a lemongrass based batter. While it tasted reasonably good, it was super oily. The chicken satay was dry and flavorless. It was a good thing we ordered starters because then we decided to skip dinner and headed out to somewhere where they take their food seriously. Its a romantic place and if you don't care about what you'd like to feed your date, trek to Starlight. Otherwise just stand on Sairee beach, hold hands and know that there are better places to dine on Ko Tao.
