“Bad room, great pool”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

The pool was beautifull, and the location is great. On the other hand, the bathroom was terrible, and it was full with cacroages and even a worm. The price is the most expensive we payed in our trip, and it Just wasnt worth it.

For backpackers looking for a step above a hostel, Wind Beach is a good option for its clean rooms with TV and A/C, nice pool and decent breakfast.

- Room: we were in a room on the 3rd floor of the building attached to reception. The stairs to the room are probably double the height of normal stairs and would have been impossible for older guests. Other than that, the room was totally fine: clean with functioning A/C and a small terrace.
- Location: ideal location, right in central Sairee (the main town for restaurants/bars) and right on the beach (although it took around 5 minutes to get there from our room, which was the furthest). There are lots of boat taxis right outside offering day trips to different beaches. We recommend a trip to Koh Nang Yuan: although it got pretty crowded, the view from the top of the mountain is stunning and it's only around 15 minutes away.
- Wifi: internet was very slow, but worked consistently.
- Breakfast: selection was really limited and they only had instant coffee, but was glad for the option to order eggs.
- Staff: very basic English, but we liked the lady at the front desk and the waiters at the restaurant.
- Pool: nice pool area without enough chairs.

This was a good base for our 3 days in Koh Tao, but would probably opt to try somewhere a bit nicer next time.

This hotel has some nice rooms and some... Well... Not so nice rooms. But the location couldn't be better. On a busy part of the island but all the rooms are off the main road, and the pool is right on the beach! Food is great and breakfast is included! Great hotel would recommend to anyone and stay here again without a doubt!

We were in the rooms right by the reception, was slightly more expensive than other hotels but worth it if you want to treat yourself when travelling. Flat screen TV, clean bathroom, large bed, aircon with a balcony. Breakfast was including and was a buffet of cereal, watermelon, toast and eggs - also a few Thai options. Pool was nice and clean, only 4 sunbeds though! The bar and restaurant is really nice looking out onto the beach. Fire show & BBQ every night was great fun and the dancers were really talented.
The only real issue we found with this hotel was the noise that came from the bars and clubs on the street, this stopped around 1/2am but still annoying if you have an early start!

This place is well located and has a nice pool area. You can simply go there to have a drink during the day and hang out. No need to stay there to enjoy the nice things about this place.

The bungalows are located right next to pool/ bar area. Even with ear plugs we couldn't sleep, as there is music playing all night (even when nobody is at the bar) and the bed was vibrating.

The doors to the bungalow do not have a proper lock, only simple padlock, which wouldn't be so bad if wasn't for the fact that there isn't a safe.

The room itself wasn't clean at all, the toilet was discusting and we saw a bed bug.

Do not go here if you intend on staying in the bungalows

The wind beach resort in perfectly located in Koh Tao. In the middle of the action and right in front of the beach! You'll have breakfast enjoying the beautiful morning sea.

The room is very comfortable but can be a bit noisy, but nothing to worry about. It is not the cheapest place you can find, but Koh Tao is more expensive than other places in Thailand.

We enjoyed the happy hour on the beachfront restaurant looking at the sun setting everyday, amazing!
