We did not pre-arrange a booking at this hotel, so were lucky to get a room as it seems to be a popular choice amongst tourists. We stayed in one of the building rooms, which was simple yet sufficient, it is also well priced. The property is close to the beach, restaurants and markets, so a great place to stay. We really enjoyed our night there!

Whilst P.P. Casita was an improvement on the Andaman Beach Resort where we stayed exactly a year ago, it was disappointing in that it is buit on a tidal swamp and the Villa Bungalow we stayed in looked out onto piles of junk and a tidal stream that contained all sorts of refuse. Hopefully in time the eyesore will be corrected and some greenery established.

Our bungalow had a fridge that did not work and an ineffective airconditioner, however after one night thankfully we were moved to another Villa. Fortunately the Villa Bungalows are far away enough from the night noise that with the A/C going, our sleep wasn't disturbed.

Our hot water was effective however it did seem to have a salty feel to it, but it washed away the sweat ! Be warned, there were no shower curtains, so the bathroom gets wet.

Breakfast was OK, but there definitely aren't enough tables to accommodate everyone at peak times.

The system with the pool towels is ridiculous... the have to be collected daily from reception, signed for and returned before 8pm each evening, even if you haven't used them.. their reasoning... "stocktake" !!! Unless you get to the pool early, forget about a pool lounge, there just aren't enough to go around. At least the pool was clean, although small for the number of people the place caters for.

If you give the pool a miss and wander to the nearby beach, you're a brave person to go into the water. It looks clean enough but the rubbish on the shoreline will give you an idea of what has been floating in it. Tonsai Bay is definitely the cleaner beach to swim from, but it's a good 10-15 minute walk across the island.

From my discussions with other tourist of our age group (45-50) , it seems that unless you are prepared to pay in excess of AU$120 a night for accommodation on Phi Phi Don , the standard is much the same everywhere and each place has downfalls.

Really good place. Was there for my friends birthday. We met loads of people in the pool on the day and then went out with them for the evening. We did not have air con and the fan was not great in the room but room was really clean. I did not really notice the salt water showers and niether did my friend. The pool is fantastic and we did not have any problems with coming in late of guests. Really lively and good if you are very sociable and like to meet new people.

This is a very good, clean hotel. Good value for your money. Great location (which I wouldn't say for other hotels on this island...).
The only thing I had a problem with was the staff's attitude, maybe because they were all booked.
I do not understand the bad reviews for this hotel.
There's no shakey boardwalks. It's pretty stable and surrounded with vegetation and the breakfast was just fine.
I would recommend this hotel to everybody.
