“This is the place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights on the other side of the island and decided that we wanted to switch it up and stay two nights somewhere else. We came across this hotel and loved it! Hands down it is a great value! We booked a room with a “partial view”. Our view was amazing! We had a direct view of the bay. My guess is that they called it a “partial view” because there was a tree to the left of our cabin that blocked one of our unimportant windows. Our room was very clean and spacious. The shower had great pressure and a full hot water tank. The hotel’s beach are is huge and is filled with more than enough chairs. At night they have entertainment consisting of people doing tricks and dancing with fire. They have a restaurant and a bar. We loved this hotel and the view! It was a great place to relax and enjoy our time off of work! I wish that we would have stayed here all four nights!

These rooms are located on Long Beach, Phi Phi Don. They are perfect if you are looking for a romantic hotel in paradise. The main town of Phi Phi can be noisy and busy, which is fantastic for a night out or a good meal or a bit of shopping. If you want to go home to somewhere a bit quieter, then Long Beach is where you want to be. It takes about 10-15 minutes on a long boat between Long Beach and Phi Phi town, which is not long at all when the views are so stunning. It costs about 200-300 baht which is £4-£6 and the long boats run all through the night.

The hotel itself is stunning. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and so private. The balcony is screened to the one side so that your neighbours cannot see you, leaving you in total seclusion. We opted for one of the higher rooms in order to have a bit more peace and quiet and although the walk up the hill is strenuous, this isn't a problem if you are fit.

There is mention in other reviews about building works, which are still taking places. The builders seemed to work sociable hours and we were not disturbed by them at all. Although you should note that we did choose a room higher up the hill in order to be further away from the works and I am a heavy sleeper!

The beach is here is incredible, the fish that can be seen in the reef are breathtaking. You can hire a snorkel from the hotel for a day very cheaply.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant which are pretty standard, the food is average and an average price. You can get a mix of Thai or Western food.

One thing that should be noted is that there is no ATM on Long Beach! You will need to make sure you have money for a long boat so that you can use the ATM in Phi Phi town.

We stayed at at phi phi island village resort for three nights from 7-10 december. It was an experience we will certainly never forget. From the moment we got on the catamaran at the Phuket marina to the moment we were dropped off at the airport, we were treated like royalty.
The grounds are immaculate and very clean and staff are wonderful, always smiling and willing to help with anything they can. The attention to detail was wonderful, we had fresh flowers in our room each day and there were always fresh flowers around the resort.
The food was divine, we ate at three of the four restaurants during our stay and couldn't fault any of it. The Thai restaurant was amazing. We were also lucky enough to be there for the Kings birthday, and there was a wonderful buffet dinner with music and traditional Thai dancing for the king. We also ate in the villiage behind the resort (5 minutes walk) at pad Thai and the food was amazing. We were able to have dinner of three meals and drinks for under 600b which was crazy cheap!
We found the room beautiful (superior) and could not fault it. The beach was AMAZING! We also did a half day snorkelling tour which was so amazing and well worth the money. Staff went the extra mile and we were lucky enough to see a turtle, two sharks and hundreds of fish and coral.
Compared to Thai standards it was more expensive than some of the other resorts in thailand (but so cheap compared to resorts in Australia for the same comparison!) however we believed that the price was well worth it and some of the experiences we have taken away are priceless.

we have just returned from spending 4 nights in a superiour delux villa and had a wonderful time. The room was huge, very very clean with the most amazing view ever. As in some other reviews there is contruction going on ( due to finish at the end of year). It was noisy during the day, but we never heard it after 7pm or before 8am in morning. The down side to this was the resort did nothing to keep contruction areas clean - lots of building material lying around making it a hazard especially at night time. Take a touch if you go because many of the paths dont have nights and climbing 100 stairs in the dark is not much fun. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful - our airconditoner broke one night and within 2 mins we have 5 maintance guys arrive to fix it. The food wasn't great, but a great place to eat just a 5 min walk away.

Room Tip: 2101 on top of hill has the best view!

It's 11:30 PM 2nd November, but we still cant fall asleep because of the noise from construction site in the hotel! This is the first time we are in a hotel where construction is in progress even in the night! We'll never come back again and of course we wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.

I stayed for 3 nights in the superior villa with my boyfriend in October 2012. The location is excellent if you want to be on a quieter beach (yet still within walking distance to Ton Sai) with great snorkelling right off the shore.

Unfortunately the "resort" just doesn't come close to being worth the amount of money we spent. The bathroom could only just fit the sink, toilet and shower - there wasn't even room for a towel rack or toilet roll holder let alone your toiletries and the toiletries they provided where in old scummy bottles. There were stains on the old curtins and wet toilet paper plastered to the roof in the bathroom. At night we could hear rats in the walls. The one good feature was the air conditioning which was powerful. We've stayed in many Asian hotels and resorts and know what we can expect for our money - we would have been happy paying a third or half of the price for the room but at just over $100 AUD per night, it was a joke. The resort itself has a small pool and the bar/restaurant is overpriced - we ate at the other end of the beach which had good cheap food (the only other restaurant open during wet season on Long Beach).

Now to the worst part - while we were there the whole place was a construction site. I understand that resorts need to do work to maintain and upgrade but to start up the power tools, radios and yelling at 6.30am and going until 9.30pm each day right outside our bungalow is not ok! They cut down lots of beautiful trees (probably to create ocean views) and left the branches scattered all over the pathways which was really dangerous. We avoided staying near Ton Sai because we wanted somewhere quiet but I'm sure we would have been better off there.

All in all a massive rip off.

Location is great, 5 min swim from the shark point, rooms are small yet equipped well. Our room was on top of the hill - which was a bit uncomfortable.
There are animals hiding in the walls (probably nice geckos but still...) and occasionally a bed smell is coming out of the bathroom.
On the good side - the staff is very efficient, room getting sparkled clean every day, waitresses at the restaurant always helping, and very nice and helpful guys at the reception.
Now about the restaurant...
Bo-ring menu, and less then average food, there are better options on long beach.
The longtail boat trip offered at the bar is terrific!!! You should defenetly try that... (If you can get the guide named "Lin" you'll not regret)
