“Pool has great view, it ends there!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for the first couple of nights on phi phi. To be fair to the place the pool has a phenomenal view of the beach. Sadly the noise that comes off the beach is extremely unrelaxing. If you are going to be up and partying until 3am every night then this won't be a problem but we weren't that energetic! They do warn you of the noise before but I had no idea it would be so loud, even with headphones it was ridiculous as the bass is so loud!

The rooms are big and clean but the bed was cripplingly uncomfortable. We moved after two nights to pp casita which also has a pool but doesn't have the noise issue. Viewpoint also has a rather unfriendly collection of staff, especially the women at reception, who originally wanted us to pay for the whole week upfront, which we thankfully didn't!

I wouldn't recommend this place on the grounds of the uncomfy bed and unfriendly staff... The noise is something that won't bother all travellers but if you are going to phi phi to relax it will be an issue.

OK, maybe I was expecting a bit too much from this hotel... but the pictures on the website look amazing and it is in Koh Phi Phi, ne of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
Well, first of all the beautiful pool is not on the beach like the picture shows... We got a sea view bungalow and the room was in a very poor conservation. The air con was leaking not only water, but also ice drops! The toilet flush was partially broken and the door to the lovely outdoor shower didn't close... so we had a fleet of moskitos inside the room.
At night there are lots of night clubs on this beach playing super loud music, so it is impossible to sleep before 2am!
For the breakfast you have to chose between a couple of options... we chose bread with eggs and ham... it was one slice of bread, 1 egg and half slice of ham! I ordered one pineapple juice (you have to pay for any extras) and it was tasting horrible...I asked the waitress to change it and guess what! She said that nobody had complained before, so the juice was fine and didn't want to give me my money back! Unbelievable!
TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

i agree with everyone, the view was amazing. but other than that, all i can say is that we couldn't handle it anymore and left 2 days earlier. hopefully it was just our bungalow, but we encounter numerous nights of BUGS and LIZARDS everywhere. we didn't mind it in the day time but when you want to get sleep at night, it would be nice to not have huge big falling on your face every half hour and lizards all over your wall. this place has potential, but they need to stop being so cheap and just fix the holes/cracks in the bungalows so its more livable and sanitary for guests i believe. most expensive hotel we paid for but the one we hated the most because it was dirty. its not pleasant being welcomed by mounds of ants, lizards and bugs every time you walk into the bungalow. like i said, i hope we just got the piece of crap bungalow and hope no one dealt with this issue as us. i would never stay here again unless they remodeled and fixed the place up!

Room Tip: have pictures and will post up all the bugs, cracks in the walls doors, lizards and ants within a we...

We stayed in one of the chalets on top of the hill. It is quite a walk up that hill but the view is just amazing. Good value for money. No air conditioning so the rooms were quite hot. Lots of mozzies so use plenty of repellent. Lovely pool which overlooks the beach. Staff were very friendly

Have stayed in Viewpoint before in 2010 and returned. Still has pool with best view in PP and the staff are super accommodating and helpful. We had beach bungalow which was clean and had a great balcony to relax and watch sunset. The music is loud at night but they are very clear about this when you book and arrive so people who moan about this need to listen more. Sunset bar next door is great for chilling out and playing pool with owner.

Couple of things. 1) Wifi Please!
2) Breakfast to small (1 egg omelette/scrambled egg) and no juice included

I hav just spent 3 nights in this hotel with my partner and we had a great time. We booked it there when we got off the boat and paid 1800 baht (38 GBP per night) per night for an air con room which I thought was very reasonable in comparison to others. The added bonus was that we had an infinity pool looking over the beach which I never thought we would get for that price. The pool really was stunning and quiet over looking the beach.

The room was very basic however served it's purpose. It was clean and the aircon worked well, the terraced area also had stunning views. There is a hill to walk up to get to your room however it was not an issue and I could only see it would be for those with disabilities.

Breakfast was also included, very small portions but good considering it was included in the room price.

Staff were friendly and helpful and especially the tour guide lady at reception who was lovely.

This hotel out weighs any other I have stayed in on Phi Phi. The views are stunning and you are just off the beach (although a 1 minute walk from reception) meaning at night you are just a little further away from the noise and music from all the partying on the beach if you don't fancy joining in. Hotels on the beach will be very noisy until about 3am.

Dont expect much from your room, they are quite old fashioned unless you upgrade to a bungalow. However as I said it serves its purpose and is clean. The sheets and towels are changed daily and you get beach towels which is a bonus.

I would definitely go back and will recommend this hotel to friends. I cannot explain the stunning views from the infinity pool - natural paradise.

Room Tip: If you canafford it, go for a beachfront bungalow. If not you should defo have a air con room, it...

This hotel was about as soulless as the rest of the island. It is situated more or less next to the many beach bars that blast music into the hotel room until about 4.30 am. the bathroom was more or less clean, the bed was uncomfy and didn't feel completely clean. the 'infinity pool' didn't look as infamous as we'd expected! we didn't test the nice lloking safes in the reception area ;-) nor the breakfast.
however, the place is probably an ok deal if you're into the whole phiphi scene and aren't there to relax - we were a group of 4 in our mid-twenties, so had nothing against a louder, more party-oriented island: however phiphi didn't thrill us at all and we booked the first boat out the following morning. We'd expected to find 'the' island in phiphi - the kind of tropical dream thailand claims to offer. What awaited us when we arrived almost moved us to tears - what a shame that a large part of the island has been destroyed by mass tourism, drunken louts, tattoo parlours and cheap, mafia-runned beach bars!!
