We were staying in this hotel for 3 nights in November 2007. Location great. You can walk anywhere.. Close to the pier. We had a room with a view on both bays on the 4th floor. The bed was comfortable. A/C works only when you are in the room (needs your room key). Good size balcony. No lift! Small swimming pool but you have beach only 150m walk. Helpful staff at the reception desk. Cook prepares you breakfast when you are waiting. Overall we would come back. Not the best we were staying in but good value for money.

i travelled with 2 of my best friends (all girls) and we originally didn't have anywhere to stay on Phi Phi. The plan was to just find somewhere when we got there.. however at Bangkok Don Muang airport we were approached by a lady who worked on the Travel Agents desk there and we ended up booking the Phi Phi Hotel for 5 nights through her.

The hotel ended up costing us about £10 per night each which was absolutely fine for us! We had 2 single beds and a comfy fold out bed in our room, and still enough room to move about and dump our massive backpacks.

Bathroom was lovely, really clean, shower absolutely AWESOME(we stayed in the Bangkok Marriot Resort & Spa later in our stay and the shower was AWFUL!), fantastic water pressure & unlimited hot water too which is quite unheard of for £10 a night to be honest.

The only problem we did have was a bit of an odd smell at one end of our floor sometimes, but I think this is because of the bathroom renovations they've been doing. To be honest it didn't really bother us, and the staff were so lovely I'm sure they would have moved us had we asked.

There was 24 hour security at the hotel too, which we didn't really feel was neccessary, but was reassuring all the same. The people staying in the hotel with us seemed to be a mix too, of young people like us, couples, families and groups of sort of 6 and 7. But we never had any trouble with noise at night or anything.

Overall we had a fantastic stay at the Phi Phi hotel, it is literally smack bang in the part of the island where the two bays almost touch so you can get to either the port or the main beach super easily! I would definitely reccomend booking it at Don Muang airport if you're happy to leave it a bit last minute, they organised all our airport transfers too and our ferry to Phi Phi and back, which was great.

I do not normally feel the need to write reviews however i think this hotel needs feedback.
On arrival the desk staff stated that they did not have our booking confirmation that we had booked on the internet previously and were not interested in following it up for us.
They said that they did have spare rooms and would only accommodate us at their rate which was considerably higher than we paid.
We asked to see the manager and they would not oblige.
After they realised that we were not going to take no for an answer finally a staff member rang the web booking site for us and found out that our booking was confirmed.
The location was good very close to the wharf area,the room ok but bathroom shower was dirty and had soap scum all over the glass.
The breakfast was just ok by Asian standards..
On checking out we were embarassed when questioned about a missing ash tray from the room. Neither my husband nor myself are smokers.
Would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

We booked Phi Phi hotel at cheap rate via Morethailand.com. The hotel is located at a good location near to the Tonsay Bay (Pier) which is two minute walk away. Staying here, you do not have to take the taxi boat to the pier to go Phuket or Krabi. If you dislike beaches near the pier, then you can walk just few minutes to the beautiful Loh Dalam beach which is just at the back of the Phi Phi hotel. It is also near to shops and eatary stalls e.g. pharmacy and restaurant.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, they even borrowed us the umbrellas for the walk to the pier after checking out from the hotel as it's raining.

At this price, the sea view room offered is unexpectedly good, especially the clean and nice washroom with hot and cold water supply whereby the water pressure is high.

The breakfast is ok, just the usual American breakfast..

Overall, It was a pleasant stay at this hotel and it's indeed value for money.
