“Secluded paradise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

Overall a fun stay! We spent Xmas eve, Xmas day and Boxing Day here. The room, pool and facilities were good. The gala party was great - the staff tried very hard to keep us entertained. I won a box of tea bags and a Thai massage in the raffle ha! The food was plentiful albeit slightly bland at times. The staff were always pleasant, smiling and attended to our needs. Patrick the guest relations manager was very helpful! We took a long tail boat to phi phi ley/maya bay for 6hrs with another couple at the hotel. Best trip! Beautiful crystal white sand and blue water a must see in my opinion! There are 3 other hotels and a local restaurant called Jasmine if you get bored of the in house Sawasdee restaurant. The only downsides were lack of wifi in the room, tourists coming from Phuket in their truck loads, lack of poolside bar and lack of vegetarian food on the menu (although this is a problem in most places tbh).

After about a 2hour boat trip you reach the destination and get greated with a complimentary drink and cool face towl!

Patrick was awesome, friendly and very helpful! Staff was also very friendly and always smiling (you would too if you worked there I suppose ;-) )

Room was lovely and great effort to keep it at such a level considering the remoteness of the location. We found everything we needed from the rooms, and honestly..if you're staying at Erawans and worried about the room I think your missing the picture.

Breakfast can be had on the beach and starts at 6am (sunrise is wonderful) pool area for kids still being repaired (2013 Dec). The beach has no waves and is shallow for about 15meters - very nice! The end of the day finishes with dinner on the beach with sunset around 19h00ish. Very romantic atmosphere.

Rented a long boat and went snorkeling and even fishing.

I must agree with other reviewers regarding the price of food, it is expensive! All of it was good quality though and well presented on the plates.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

First things first, P.P. Erawan is located directly on a beach and not just any average a beautiful clear blue beach. Many people visit Phi Phi for a day visit - to see the beaches and do some shopping. This hotel is located in Laemtong beach which is a 30 min boat ride to the shopping and tourist area. Depending on what you are looking for this may be a good or a bad thing. We loved it!!! It was completely relaxing and quiet...

Essentially it doesn't matter which hotel you choose to stay on in Laemtong beach (Holiday Inn, Zeavola or Phi Phi Natural beach) as they all have access to the same beach and you can access all of their restaurants as well. The only pity is that all the restaurants are pricey and their is only 1 non-hotel restaurant (Jasmine) on the beach which is cheaper but still expensive by Thai standards. The average meal at hotel was 250baht per dish.

The resort itself is great, as soon as you arrive you are feel completely relaxed. Wherever you are you have a view of the beautiful beach. The spa treatments were phenomenal and we were happy with the price.

Great area for relaxing by the pool and beach. Would have just liked to be able to order drinks by the pool... In general there is no staff around the pool area. There is a built in pool-bar but it doesn't operate which is a dissapointment. I would suggest they do something with the "baby-pool" next to the pool (it always manages to not come out in pics) as it green and an eye sore.

The service was great and always willing to help and especially with organising some great and well prices tours around the area.

The room was spacious and clean. Read some reviews that it was dirty and there was bugs. Room wasn't dirty but the bathroom was a bit old which may pass for "dirty". We barely witnessed any bugs.

I would recommend Erawan - it is very quiet and well located and well priced compare to the other hotels. The holiday inn was always playing loud music and too many people.

Tip: book ferry with Andaman Wave Master from phuket as they will drop you off at the hotel. If you looking for tourist hubs, shops and different restaurants then this is most definately not the place for you.

This side of the Island is really nice and calm unlike the other parts. P P Erawan is not the best luxurious hotel, but really good value for money and you will find extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food is average but have enough choice. Bad point is that you have wifi only in reception area.
You can take tours from the a Hotel, which is surprisingly cost you the same even if you take them outside the Hotel. But it will be more safe and reliable to take these boat tours from Hotel. Please take tours, do snorkeling or kayaking before the evening as the low tide will not allow you to do any of these.

Room Tip: Choose a room near to the Beach and reception. If you are lucky you will be able to use free wifi

If visiting phi phi islands and are looking for that relaxing, picturesque setting in paradise, this location has it..set about 30mins boat ride from the main phi phi town, you will pass quite a few nice isolated beaches but this is the best with a number of other hotels (holiday inn, natural hotel, zeavola) ..all hotels here are of standard accomadation but it's the picturesque view and the beach setting which really justifies the price..phi phi main town is quite dirty in comparison and full of foreign backpackers

Upon arriving at Phi Phi pier we were told that our hotel had not supplied a long tail boat for us, as had been promised. We phoned reception to rectify the situation we were told to pay the 1200 Baht or to wait another 5 hours! When we arrived at the hotel they were completely disinterested in helping us with the situation. The rooms are OK but there is no wifi. Breakfast was good but the beach definitely outshines the accommodation.
