“packed with Israelis”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

very nice hotel right on the beach, tasty food, but very noisy Israelis having party, great place for group of friends , but not for couples searching for the relax, room are to close to each other, called security to deal with party next doors, was late at night, didn't do much.

Really impressed with Coco Hut Resort

Fantastic location on a pristine white beach

Clean and modern rooms.

Stones throw away from FMP but far enough :)

We stayed here for 11 nights at Beachfront Pool Villa and what a stunning view!! The first thing you ever see first thing in the morning from your bed in this villa is the stunning, glorious sea view. The best among the other three places we've stayed in Thailand in our three weeks holiday, whilst one of them was rated 5 star.
We had beautiful, clean, spotless and very spacious room that was cleaned everyday, and our private pool was also cleaned regularly. Beachfront ,white sand, downside is you can't go swim in the sea as its quite rocky and shallow. Few friendly staff especially the drivers, catering manager, and some ladies behind front desk. We adore the old man who drops us off to town who always has the warm smile on his face! They have the complimentary pick up/drop off that you can book at anytime which was very handy to take you to town. Although the town is very close, 5 minutes walk to restaurant, shops, and pubs. And from the town, it's only a few steps away from the main beach( beautiful white sandy and best place for a big dip) where they hold full moon party.
The tour guide lady isn't very helpful, and some few other grumpy staff that served cooked eggs for breakfast who doesn't smile at all to you no matter how you greet them nicely!
You can also hire a moped that can take you around the island, which is a must do!!! It's one of our best and memorable activity in the island. All in all we had such a great time with our stay and we have found our little paradise!! We will definitely come back again

We stayed at Cocohut for 5 nights with a group of around 40 friends for a Full Moon Party, and overall were impressed with the resort. The location was fantastic, despite the huge hill to walk up in order to get to the action every day. The courtesy pickup/dropoff to the pier was efficient and quick, and the resort enjoys a great spot on a quiet beach. We stayed in a Cliffside bungalow and weren't quite prepared for all the stair-climbing to get to/from our room, but it was worth it for our view. There is a great restaurant/chillout area with cheap drinks and good food, and the 'compulsory' cocktail party on the night of the FMP was a good way to ensure everyone got some food in them before the party. Overall we found the staff to be helpful and polite. The rooms were all clean, beds comfy and showers hot.
The only drawbacks - there is a 'Backyard Pub' on the top of the hill right behind the resort that has a huge after party from 7am the day after the FMP and the music is LOUD. When we checked in we wondered why the resort felt the need to make us sign a 'waiver' that we would not complain about the noise - and then we learnt why. Great if you wanted to party on, no so great if you wanted any sleep during that day.
Also, there is only Wifi in the restaurant area which was a bit annoying.
Aside from that it was a great little spot and we would stay here again!

Room Tip: The Cliffside bungalows cop the noise from the FMP after party, but also get a nice breeze. If we st...

i stayed here for 11 night starting on 20th may 2012 in a beachfront pool villa (about £130 a night)
i was surprised to see that the staff picked me up from the pier without even asking! which was great as it was so hot!
the pool villa was wonderful! perfect size and a great little pool outside. it was very comfortable and clean.
the staff were very friendly. i note previous reviews slated the staff. maybe it was because it was not full moon when i went and so was quieter, so they had more time for me.
position was ideal! a short walk to haad rin town, or the staff would take me by car for free>
only problem was the sea was not great for swimming, and also the pool was being repaired. however haad rin is perfect for swimming!
i suggest hiring a moped and travelling round the island with an ipod and speaker system! was best bit of holiday!

Room Tip: pool beachfront villa a must

As its been said before, gorgeous resort with nice amenities, however, I can't recomend this place because the staff, particularly the front desk are dreadfull. Never met such rude people in all my travels. My fiancée and I are hardly party going Roudy people and were treated like dirt. We were treated as total inconveniences. Just downright horrible. Check out Tommy's resort or palita lodge instead...
