“Luxury escape in the quiet paradise of Haad Yuan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

I stayed at Pariya resort twice during my stay in Thailand which really is testament to how great Pariya is. The rooms are huge with AC and a mini bar and the most beautiful bathrooms with sunken baths. The location is perfect right in the middle of the small bay with wonderful access to the beach and the only pool in Haad Yuan.
The bay has a few bars and one great restaurant Bamboo which i ended up eating most of the meals at as the breakfast at Pariya is great but other food is average. The cocktail bar does make up for it though with a great happy hour that often gets extended if you ask nicely!
The staff are lovely and the general manager Tai could not have been more helpful with both local info and general practical advise.
i have read some of the other reviews mentioning fly's etc. however lets not forget this is Thailand with a rich and plentiful cornucopia of wildlife, lizards, butterflies, mosquitos and yes fly's!
I love this place and hope to be back very soon (in time for happy hour!)

Me and my partner couldnt of chose a better rsort to stay in after all the hussle and bustle of Bangkok, the place was sucluded and homely and the locals and staff couldnt of been any more friendly and welcoming, its a bit of a trek from the drop of bat koh samui but its so worth the journye, we didnt want to leave and will deffinatley be coming back! The villa was amazing and was so secluded, i would not recommend this place if you dont like lizards or ghekos etc they are all around the resort but we love them!

All in all the resort is great, being the only 5 star resort an that beach which I may add Hadd Yaun is undoubtedly the best beach/area in Koh Phangan.

The Manager Tai Plum is very helpful, he knows everything tourist wise about the island and is extremely good at his job.

The bar manager is very moody and unprofessional, at times quite rude. drink elsewhere, Good Hope, Ocean Rock or Big Blue

The rooms are fantastic, cleaned as soon as you leave for breakfast.

The pool and lounging areas, beach, are amazing.

The music they play from the bar needs a revamp (far to cheesy and repetitive)

Dont leave a tip as they take a tip for everything you buy,

all in all I had the best holiday of my life, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Room Tip: deluxe rooms are really good, just behind the games rooms

I've just returned from Pariya Resort and it was aboslutely amazing! We stayed at one of their beautiful villas a little up the hill with a nice view over the resort. It's not a centara hotel anymore and we have been told that management is doing everything to make guess more satisfied. Cheaper prices (based on the prices local resturants and spas offer) and better service. While we were there, the service was great! The staff is very friendly and attentive even though you are sitting in the last corner of the beach.

They have a beautyful pool for the people who don't like to swim in the sea and a gaming and internet room for a little bit of entertaining. They fulfill every wish you have for some extra cost. I think that is a great service. A family which was there asked for a little bit of Jet Ski fun and they have two jet skis the next day!

The rooms were beautifully decordated when we arrived and cleaned every day! The GM told us that they will get a speed boat shortly and guests will be picked up from Koh Samui directly and you don't have to travel all the way to thongsala and take a taxi to haad rin before taking a long tail boat to haad yuan. This will make everthing so much easier.

This hotel is trully off the path and we loved it!!

We stayed there for two nights and we will definitely go back when in Koh Phangan.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the beach. Otherwise you will have to walk many stairs!

We only stayed for a day from morning until evening as we booked the private trip from Centara Bhundhari Resort & Spa Samui which we were travelling by the speedboat with our own private butler from the main hotel where we stayed.

There were just the us on the boat with 2 staff...So private and romantic. The hotel and the room was so cute and romantic. Me and my husband had a relaxing time on the beach. The food was excellent!!! The staff were friendly. The Spa was amazing!!!!!

I highly recommened this hotel for people who really want to getaway from a busy life and want to be private xxx

We expected a lot when we booked this as our final destination to say goodbye to Thailand and we were a little disappointed overall. It could have been great apart from the little things that dragged it down.

- Fly infestation, absolutely everywhere meaning every breakfast was a battle and sitting by the pool was swats of fun.

- You were taxed on every drink and meal there, this was due mainly to the fact it's the only resort with a pool meaning everyone descends on it leaving guests often without a sun lounger. The tax they put on the drinks for these guests apply to people staying at the hotel too.

- Hot water never worked, not too bad though as they are conserving energy but still a bit off.

- Staff were not helpful at all when we arrived at the pier, when we spoke to them they just pretty much said make your own way there.

On the plus side, the rooms were lovely and clean and beds were comfy and the beach and pool were brilliant.

On the whole, I'd recommend not staying here on Koh Pha Ngan if you have the choice of staying somewhere in Koh Tao or Samui for the night. It's exclusive and on a secluded beach, but not as beautiful as say the Coral Bay Resort in Samui and a similar price.

Tips if you stay here -

Nip over to the other resorts for any food and drinks - a lot cheaper and tastier.

Take your own drinks to the pool with you or bring them from your minibar.

Try and get breakfast in bed to keep the flies at bay.

Me and my wife were on our honeymoon and stayed at this hotel. I'm not the type of guy who is very fussy on were I stay and never thought a bad thing of a hotel but after staying here that changed. First you have to pay 200 - 300 baht per person one way when traveling to and from haad rin beach were the full moon party is and the main part of the island. You can not get to the hotel by taxi. In windy conditions you and your luggage can get wet and its very dangerous because the boats are so small and there is nothing to hold on to.
But now to the hotel! the buffet breakfast is nothing to rave about compared to other hotels in Thailand, its not even a buffet they give you a menu and you pick from 3 different types to breakfasts, its only all you can eat toast and fruit.
We had to walk up about 50 stairs to get to our bug infested room because the rooms are not fully sealed so bugs can come in whenever. The bathroom was filled with ants!
There was a note in the room saying the hot water is turned off between certain times of the day which I don't remember but we didn't have hot water once of the whole stay so we had to have cold showers!
We ordered room service only to wait 1 hour and 30 mins until we got our cold food, then another 1 hour and 3 phone calls to get it re served hot.
As soon as the sun comes up the room is lit up, even with all the blinds closed.
For the price we payed for this hotel I would not recommend it to anyone. If your going for the full moon party try to stay near haad rin. avoid this hotel

Room Tip: avoid at all costs!
