“A decent place.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Stayed here for 6 nights, which was extended from our original 4 night booking as we thought in comparison to others on offer it was the best for the money.

The hotel is on sunset beach, which we didn't think was worth going to, from what we saw it was very narrow and small. Sunrise beach, obviously the home to the fool moon party is better and is only a 5-10, minute walk away. It's been slightly battered by the fmp, but to be honest the locals sweep all their garbage from the shops onto it and at night the fire performers spit petrol all over it, so you can't blame it all on tourism. Lots of dogs too.

We stayed in a deluxe room which was quite spacious, clean and modern, looks like it wasn't built that long ago. We were on the 3rd floor and our balcony looked over the pool, which also looks out at the sunset which was nice. Oddities, no soap or hand towel provided, first for Thailand for us but no big deal. Wi-fi was a bit hit and miss.

The pool is nice, loungers have no cushions so you get a dead backside after a while and there was only one umbrella. Also, it's only open until 6, a little early maybe.

Breakfast was average, everything is pretty much with eggs but the guy taking your order wasn't the friendliest, great way to start your day.

To explore the island and have a decent place to put your head with a nice pool, stay here.

I was relieved when i arrived and i was shown to my room and the helpful staff went through the facilties with me. The property is really nice, quite modern and squeaky clean. Just what you need on Koh Phangan.

The staff are mostly Burmese and whilst friendly, don't speak any English.
This can be quite frustrating when you need to organise things and its after hours, they simply cannot help you.

I was so dis pleased that they didn't give me two keys. I was staying in a twin share room and my friend and i would often go seperate ways and not know when to expect the other one, very frustrating without a key each!

I stayed 7 nights and by about the 4th housekeeping pretty much gave up on me and stopped replenishing amenties and making the beds properly.

One would think your longer staying guests would get better treatment.

Breakfast is terrible- don't bother getting in included in your rate. Total waste of money!

Great location though, grab a motorbike and see the rest of the island though.
There are much nicer places on Koh Phangan than Haad rin!

Near enough to everything to walk & far enough to get way to a quiet pool when you want.
Amazing pool, nice rooms. toilet paper holder on wall too far from loo to reach sitting down!!!
tv has little reception & few channels. resturant staff a bit grumpy.
A good haven after partying, would stay again

Room Tip: Has new & older rooms, both are nice but new ones nearer the great pool

Stayed here for 5 nights over Full Moon period. This was perfect for us as it is s short walk (5 mins) to the FMP but also out off the "party scene" and easy to rest and sleep.
Staff are friendly and do the basics of their job. Room was basic but clean and cleaning staff were lovely.
The pool is a great benefit and management do all they can to keep non hotel guests out, this helps to ensure it isn't over crowded.

I would stay here again with no hesitation

Neptune's Villa was a really nice experience. Stayed 8 nights in late February to Mars and I enjoyed every hour.

The rooms were clean all though the cleaning in the bathroom wasn't that good. The pool was really nice and the pool bar had really nice fruit shakes.

Neptune's Villa is located just outside the most central parts of Haad Rin and there wasn't much traffic at all there. 2 min walk and you are in the central parts of Haad Rin!

There was some strange things about this hotel too.
1. You didn't get any small towels to wipe your hands on, only big bath-towels.
2. The staff were pretty "layed back" and the service at the pool bar was pretty bad.
3. There were alot of small flies flying around in the room.

Room Tip: If you want a good room you have to choose the ones on the ground level.

Neptunes villa is a great option for when traveling to Koh Phangan. it is in a great location- close to town and close to the quieter sunset beach, with little noise at night. The pool is long and contains a spa area which is relaxing. The grounds and the pool are very well maintained, there are always staff cleaning and gardening to keep the place looking beautiful. The free wifi is a bonus, as is the free breakfast, which was big and yummy.

This was my second stay here, over NYE 2011/12 and i will defiantly be back!

It is a great place to base yourself for a stay in Haad Rin, whether you are planning on attending a full moon or just want to chill out and explore! Neptune's is a 5 minute walk to the famous full moon party beach yet far enough away from the party to get a good nights rest if you don't feel like partying until sunrise.

The Breakfast is good, and the staff are awesome, just treat them with some respect and how you would like to be treated! So many times in Thailand i see tourist's getting angry at the thai people just because their english might not be as good as theirs, have some patience, this is their country!

Yes it is about double the price to stay during the full moon period, but this is the same at every hotel in Koh Phangan, it's simple supply and demand!

Haad Rin itself is very commercial full of party goer's, the food around the Haad Rin area isn't the best thai food that i have had and is becoming very western to cater for the hangovers of those partiers who come to thailand to eat the same food as in their own country.

Hire some motorbikes from the little lady across the road at Charung Bungalow's and head over the hill to Baan Tai to find some really authentic thai food, their are plenty of great places on the side of the road.

The beach at Neptune's isn't really that good, so i'd recommend either heading to the full moon beach or up to some of the even more spectacular beaches up north, about 30-45minutes ride on a motorbike.

Room Tip: Get one of the Bungalow's!
