We went to nang yuan 9 years ago and were interested to see if or how it had changed. The place is still absolutely beautiful, clear water and sandy causeways joining the 3 islands. There is now free wifi for guests staying overnight and snorkels can be hired for 50b. Also a range of DVDs can borrow
We were supposed have an exec air room but they told us the aircon was broken so upgraded us to a beach villa, plus point was this was a lot closer to the beach. Negative was no sun loungers on decking and view not quite so good, but least less steps!
It does get very busy during day with day trippers but guests staying get free deck chairs so that's good. The beach bar is a lot cheaper for lunch than restaurant but shuts at 7pm. Restaurant wasnt too bad priced given the captive audience but it shuts at 9pm so if you want nightlife this isn't place for you! We stayed NYE and it cost 1600b for dinner pp including 1 beer, normally a lot cheaper
All in all I think it's good for a short break in paradise but would get bored if there for an extended time as not much to do other than swim, go up to view point and enjoy the stunning scenery. however beware for lomprayah delays if travelling from further than ko Tao, these seemed a regular occurrence so can take longer than planned
