The setting of Long Bay is stunning, a relaxed beach which stretches half a mile or so, replete with various bars and restaurants to choose from, plus rental places for jeeps and bikes, and a few shops for essentials. The resort itself has seen better days, however, and our hut was a little disappointing, with a dodgy shower and some DIY required. Towels weren't clean, and we felt the room needed a good overall clean.
But the pool is definitely the best in the area, and the breakfast was fine, if a bit weak in terms of choice. Don't expect luxury, it's more functional than anything else.
The staff are a little odd, and not too helpful. We were asked to move to another (worse) hut for our last night, which had a leaking air-con unit and noisy fridge (we didn't pay for the night since we didn't sleep!).
Overall, I think it's overpriced, but it's not the worst place we've stayed!
