Paradise Cove is Paradise! We stayed just shy of 2 months, while attending a nearby yoga teacher training. Marc and Chantal, a lovely French couple, had just recently taken over management of the property and made us feel like family! Yanic and Nung also work at Paradise Cove and provide great service with a smile... as well as information on the local scene and moon parties.
The property sits between Haad Yao and Haad Salad, with easy access to restaurants and beaches, but it's so secluded and quiet with its own small private beach, that you'd think you were on a remote island. It feels like a quaint Mediterranean village with terraced gardens, steep stairways leading to the beach cove and flower covered lattices overhead with the intoxicating scent of jasmine. The villas are comfortable, clean, secure and bright with amazing sunset views! There's also aircon, hot water and free wifi.
Marc and Chantal accommodated every need we had and were kind and gracious hosts... from early morning coffee and fresh young coconuts, to impromptu dinner parties. The food was always freshly prepared and very tasty. Some of my favorites include the Tuna Tartar (with green peppercorns - Yummy!); Tomato, Mozzarella and Roasted Red Pepper Salad with delicious Mustard Sauce!, Pizzas and the Vegetable Platter with sautéed Eggplant and Peppers.
I literally had tears in my eyes driving away, as they have all become like family. Stories, laughter, some basic French lessons... accidentally scaring Chantal each time I went to the kitchen... a Half Moon party with Yanic and Nung... making Margaritas for Marc and Chantal... and so many more wonderful memories! I hope to be back sooner than later! Thank You and Miss You All!! Take care of my little KO! :-)
