“Great place to stay for full moon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

I recently stayed at the beach village for the last full moon. I had an amazing time there. It's located about 10 minutes away from the main beach but it has it's own great beach with a huge swimming pool and bar. The owners can't do enough to help the guests, they arrange trips, taxis, club tickets and in my opinion provide a very good service. I was unfortunate enough to have my wallet stolen whilst on the island and the staff tried to help me as much as possible. One of the Thai workers even lent me some money so that I could still go out and enjoy my night. Can't say I've been to many places on my trip that would do that for the guests. Accommodation is good for the price you pay, and you're likely to not be in the rooms anyway much as the party atmosphere is great. Overall a great place to stay if you're looking to meet lots of people and party away. Thanks again peter, jack and everyone working at beach village for everything. I will definitely be back again in the future.

This place is great if you want to stay for just a few days for the full moon.
But don't expect anything fantastic.
The rooms are okay, they don't clean them daily so if your staying in a room with more than 1 or 2 then expect a discussing bathroom and sandy floors!
( our room and beds has more sand than the beach )
They don't provide toilet roll so take your own.
Don't flush toilet roll it will block it.
They don't provide blankets you have to pay a deposit for them as they've had problems with other people stealing them.
The air con is great though!!!!
Staff no so great, reception most of them are really good you can see they are busy and actually very happy to be working there which is nice.

However the kitchen staff are miserable they don't want to be there !
They struggle to get the food out its so so slow, but once we got it it was very yummy ( over priced )
They work hard here but just seem to struggle to get things right with the service, they can be rude.
I loved the beach next to the resort not the best but still very nice.
There is a cocktail bar next to the pool the guy in there is so rude and seemed rather annoyed that we asked for 2 cocktails.
I unfortunately had a nose bleed while at the bar and asked for tissue.. He huffed, then found a roll of tissue which had been wet and all brown prob also been on the floor and trodden on. He actually slammed it on the bar in front of us...
I used my beach towel in the end!
The cocktails took half an hour to make then tasted not like a cocktail should.
This guy is not a happy one !
So expect a dirty room, no blanket, rubbish dining service, laundry is very over priced too.
Be careful when booking taxi to the ferry they will tell you 500 THBthen when it comes to paying they ask for an extra 50THB for there own pocket..
The best places we found to eat was the little Thai resturants on the street priced between 50 and 100 THB a little slow service but very happy and nice staff.
It's good for the full moon as everyone is crazy anyway but they are just not great at organising
Overall I enjoyed the stay but it could have been better.
If you rent a motor bike take photos of it first then ask the man to ride it in front of you before you take it
It is common that they tell you the bike is faulty on its return and that it's your fault they make you repair it at a high cost you have to because they keep your passport.
Happened to 2 guys who stayed with us.
If you take photos and they see you they are less likely to do tat to you.
Enjoy Thailand :)

Had the privilege of staying at The Beach Village backpackers for 5 days this week.
Fantastic location and beauty facilities make you feel right at home.
The management staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. We are very grateful for their friendship and help.
Wifi is also good all through the resort and make sure you're at the resort when there is a drum and bass party at their on site event venue!

Some bad with the good...
Over the full moon party time, the backpackers filled up a lot and the kitchen seemed under staffed.
Prices are very good though, as is the food :)
While on the negatives. . Please reduce chlorine volume in the pool #justsaying

But thanks for an awesome time. Will DEFINITELY stay with you guys again in the future

After traveling for 2 weeks throughout Thailand, it was such a pleasure to stay at The Beach Village where any and every request was patiently and attentively attended to! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for clean affordable room, a great location and a great young vibe! The staff were friendly and genuinely cared about your journey! It is very rare to find owners who personally look after their guest!! Thanx guys! We will definitely be back!!

Spent 7 days at the Beach Village, LOVED every moment. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and we are grateful to them for all they have done. Thank you. Delicious food, big beautiful pool right on the beach and lovely air conditioned rooms. We have also appreciated all the services made available (scooters, taxis, travel info etc), quick and efficient. And on top of all of that, the big restaurant and Tiki bar, makes it easy to interact and make friends with all the other guests. Thanks Jack - we will be back for sure!!!

The resort is nice and great environment for full moon. Clean rooms, awful showers- water gets turned off and the pressure is really bad. Do not eat here- waited an hour and a half for 2 paninis and a baguette! They do not know anything about customer service and are very rude when asked where our food was. They are quick enough to give you the bill- although we did get our drinks for free when we refused to pay.
