“Paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

travel from Haad Rin is about 150-200baht each way depending on how many on the taxi boat and takes about 7mins. Great beach and nothing to do except chill. Make sure to check out Eden Bar and say hi to 'Chicken'

“Saved my vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

After planning on going to Had Tien Beach for a nice holiday. I changed my location to the next beach Had Yuan. I so glad I went there and didn't leave the area. Had Tien has been over run with Osho People and is so expensive it is un-real to me that people still go there.

“So close, yet so different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This beach is the next one to the north from Had Rin, and you get here on a ongtail in only a few minutes for around 250-300 baht. Yet, this can not be compared to Had Rin beach: this is quiet, small and has more of an island-feel to it than the super-touristy Had Rin. I stayed at Barcelona resort, which has big bungalows built high up on the rocks, had a very big bungalow with an awesome view from my porch for only 300.-baht/night (in low season).
Their food is really good too!
You can climb over the rocks to Had Tien (pass Eden bar, then cross over, passing the open air muay thai training camp) where there's a legendary party every friday at Guy's Bar, set back from the beach in the jungle!

“Peacefull. Relaxing. Beautiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Not easy to get to, but well worth the trip. You have to take a longboat from Haad Rin. Wait for enough people to fill the boat and it should only cost 200-300baht.
If nobody else is going and you dont want to boat, The only other option is to hire a 4x4 truck to take you.. Expensive though. Atleast 1000-2000 baht.

Once you get there, usually you'll have to literally go from door-door checking for vacancy. Be careful walking along the sketchy wooden bridges/pathways. Most of the bungalows do not have online booking options AND everyone checks out whenever they feel like it, so you have to ask everyday if anyone has left. There ARE a couple of nice places that you can book in advance anyway..
Once you're there, there's not much to do. It's pretty remote, so just chillout and unwind. Food is a little pricier but very good, and large "American size portions"

Have fun.
