Firstly, beware that there are two Hinkong resorts - one that you have access to the pool and one you do not.
We stayed in the most basic. 16/11 Moo 6.
We just wanted a place to stay for fullmoon - but didn't want to stay near Haad Rin beach.
This was a great place! We paid £58 between 2 of us for 3 nights. Believe it or not this was one of the most expensive accomm we had in asia - but we didn't get much more for our money. I think it's because of peak season and Thailand is generally increasing in price.
It's a very decent per ride away from.. anywhere really! If you head North you hit a lake and can get involved in Total Wipeout style assault course - very fun and attracts people from all around the island!
Head south and eventually (after lots of hills), you will hit Haad Rin - but also a few of the busier villages on the way.
The restaurants opposite are perfect, just set on a beautiful beach :)
The staff of restaurants and hotel were very friendly. Our bungalow was basic, fan, but had everything we needed really. Slightly damp but as expected for a an unsealed room. Bathroom worked fine and we were tucked away in the garden so felt secure.
The restaurant opposite gave us a lift to the full moon party and the hotel arranged our moped hire and boat off the island - so cannot argue with that at all!
There's a little convenience shop linked to the hotel - the ladies here are amazing too :)
Overall a great stay if you are travelling through Koh Phangan, partying or not!! :)
