We decided to go to the Nice Sea resort because we didn't want to spend to much,we found the room with a good price and very good reviews.When we arrived the place didn't look to good,we crossed a little bridge and there was a lot of rubbish around,but once we crossed this bridge everything changed.We booked a wooden bungalow with a fan,it was very hot because it was august,but in the bungalow it wasn't to bad,the room was very simple but very clean.The bathroom was big enough with a very good shower.The family was wonderful,very polite,very good food,thai and international,especialy the fruit pancakes that we had in the morning for breakfast.Nothing was a problem for Mr.Nice and his family,they did everything to make us feel like home,and made us feel one of the family.It was so perfect that we was supposed to stay there only two nights,but we changed the bungalow with a bungalow with air condition and that was more comftable tv,fridge ,and in the end we stayed there another eight nights.The bungalows are on the beach,and if you want there is a small village that has everything you need with a five minute walk from the resort.Perfect to rent a scooter to go around the island.We also stayed at the Salad beach resort for another eight days because we already booked the place from home before going to Tailand,the standard of the resort was supposed to be superior of the Nice beach resort,even if we had a nice stay there,I would prefer the Nice sea resort.If you want a place simple,friendly,clean,with no frills I would certainly recomend this resort.

We stayed 3 nights at the nice Sea Resort in may. We were amazed by the view (made a lot of postcard photos) and the atmosphere. Mr. Nice was one of the nicest people we met during our trip in Thailand! He answers all your questions and is always helpful. The only problem was that we stayed there in hot season and had our little son with us. It was simply to hot for him there (the only real shadow is at the balcony of the bungalows), so we had to change into a resort with lots of shadow. Although we booked for 10 days, Mr. Nice was very flexible, since he understood our reasons. He even asked, if he should organize a cab to the new resort.
The Bungalow we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The food was very good there and the staff is hilarious. We will definitely return!

We have just returned from Thailand and spent 4 nights at this resort run by Mr.Nice and his family.It is about 10mins from the main pier and a taxi will cost you around 150baht per person,but make sure they know where they are going!
The bungalows are right on the beach and are a mixture of basic wooden huts and modern bungalows with a/c,fridge etc.They are immaculately clean and our towels and sheets were changed everyday.
Mr.Nice and his family do everything they can to make sure your stay here is a good one and nothing is too much trouble.
We only ate in the restaurant a few times but the food is very good quality,try the rice soup with shrimp for breakfast,best I've had in Thailand!
The beach is very clean,virtually empty and although the water is quite shallow was lovely and warm.
If i could change one thing it would be safe deposit boxes in the rooms instead of Mr.Nice's office, the only reason is that he is always busy and fealt a little guilty asking for access to my things,apar5t from that-nothing!
Would we stay againb-definately!!

We can’t say enough great things about Nice Sea Resort. From the moment Mr. Nice picked us up at the pier, we knew we were in good hands. Mr. Nice and his staff are all so friendly and make you feel like you are at home. They work so hard to make their guests feel welcome and are committed to making their guests happy. We have stayed in many guesthouses, hotels, hostels in 4 months of traveling and we would rate Nice Sea Resort as one of our favorite places. This is based on the staff, the amenities of the property and the overall experience.

We had the pleasure of staying in the Wooden Bungalow and a Standard Bungalow with air-conditioning and both were amazing for different reasons.

The Wooden Bungalow is perfect if you are looking for cost effective accommodations and you aren’t bothered by a few ants and the heat. The wooden bungalows are a nice size, ours had a double bed and another single bed. It had a large balcony with a hammock and 2 chairs and was a great place to relax and enjoy the views. It had a western toilet that you have to scoop flush, the fan was very powerful and got the air moving. Just remember, it’s a rustic style of accommodation, kind of like camping. We had a great time here, perhaps found it a bit hot to sleep as there wasn’t much breeze the first night. The 2nd night was much cooler due to the breeze and we slept fine.

The Standard Bungalow is very nice if you are looking for a more premium experience. It had air-conditioning, a mini fridge, TV with some English channels (Star World, Fox Movies Premium, BBC), a bureau to hang your clothes, modern plumbing and gleaming tile. It was a larger room and was extremely clean (no bugs), had a little bit smaller balcony and was equipped with a hammock and 2 chairs to relax in. It had everything you could ask for. Beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed the beach. Currently in the morning to mid-day the tide is low which creates the most beautiful little sandy beaches with rich blue shallow water. Later on in the day towards sunset the tide is higher and the water is deeper. It was breathtaking, romantic and simply beautiful. We were so happy with the beach that we never left in 5 days.

Currently there is some construction going on, as they are building 3 more bungalows. The construction goes during the day and wasn’t that loud at all and made no impact on our stay. It’s great to see a local Thai family expanding and growing their business on the island. There are some dogs on the property that do bark now and then, but they were a real pleasure to have around. They really added to the charm of the environment.

The property is beautiful and really well kept, the staff wakes up early raking and cleaning up the yard, there is so much pride here. We love that all of the bungalow have a foot wash basin outside, this is a nice touch. They have a great “on demand” system if you need housekeeping, you simply just put your key in a red box at Mr. Nice’s office and they will take care of it for you. The Wi-Fi is strong, consistent and had good signal strength. It worked everywhere on the property. Regarding food, the restaurant was amazing. We ate there many times, tried several dishes and each new dish we tried kept getting better and better! The area is great and quiet and laid back. There are also some nice restaurants in walking distance, we loved that there is a 7-Eleven which is a only a 5 minute walk away.

If you are looking for a beautiful property to relax in, a gorgeous beach and friendly staff, Mr. Nice and his team will be a good fit for you. We would highly recommend the Nice Sea Resort.
