“Very charming resort, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 via mobile

The resort is very charming facing very nice view of water.
there are a lot of bugs, make sure you have your bug spray before you get there.
we only stayed here for a night but make sure your taxi takes you until parking lot of this place otherwise you must drug your suitcases through dirt road for a mile until you reach the actual hotel like we did.
stuff are friendly.
no hot water in the shower. we took shower with cold water and we were not so pleased about that.
air conditioner takes a while to kick in but it works fine after a while.
the earliest ferry back to Samui is 7:15am then 12:30 so if your flight is early, you wont be able to have breakfast here like we could not even if it was included since breakfast don't start until 8:30am.
we went to full moon party and had such great time.
the hotel is close to the city center and pier usually 50 baats each person to get to the hotel from those places. full moon party taxi was 100 each way. recommend to stay there for those parties but our taxi refused to take us into the hotel so we had to walk a while to get back to the hotel at 5 am ...

An excellent 4 night stay with a friend at Baan Manali. This was the end of a 2 week trip and couldn't have asked for a better way to do it. Spent most of my time just relaxing around the resort or on the beach. The owners children were an absolute delight and I am now firm friends with Jimy the dog. I will definitely be recommending to friends!

I loved it here! I stayed here with a friend for 4 nights and the atmosphere is so relaxed. We spent most of our time relaxing in the terrace restaurant with fruit shakes and snacks. We ventured in to town a couple of times which is only a ten minute walk and also spent an afternoon on the beach in front of the bungalows. The resort is family run and employs local people. The owners Liat and Sebastian are always happy to offer advice and give tips on things to do. There is a deserted island opposite the resort which takes only 10 minutes by canoe. We didn't get round to visiting but there is an abandoned restaurant there for exploring and another beach if you want to REALLY be away from the rest of the world. Highly recommended

The huts are very nice and clean, the staff are all helpful and the food is delicious. The landscape is amazing and the location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from a local market. We stayed there for 5 days and couldn't get enough.. We Strongly recommend and definitely come back!

My wife and I have spent a week in Baan Manali and are definitely coming back! Manali is just amazing. The bungalows are on the sea side, in a breathtaking bay and a beach is just 30 meters from your bed! The place is very quite and not far from the center.
The Owners are absolutely amazing, and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive.
Baan Manali is as relaxing and peaceful as you could get.
