“A little piece of paradise... x”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2010

We found Dew Shore in January 2008 when we stumbled upon it by chance and straight away we fell in love with the family and the place… Since then we have returned twice, once in May 2009 and again in September 2010.

The welcome each time was so genuine, a warm smile and a friendly hello as the family remembered us from before. This is a home away from home and we will always stay here when we come to Koh Phangan.

There is a cool beach bar, barman Hook is a great story teller and he enjoys the craic and mixs well with all the guests.

The rooms are excellent, lots of space and very very clean, really secure and safety deposit box is also available.
The resturant is really great, lots of nice thai dishes and western food, nothing is too much trouble so if you ask you can get…

Staying in Ban Tai is great, it is only 10-15 mins taxi/scooter ride into Haad Rin for the Full Moon while you have the option to chill in a little piece of paradise at Dew Shore…

I cant say enough about Dew Shore ..except you must come here and find out for yourself, you wont regret it!!

Lots of lov, See you soon,
Andrew & Nicky

We have just come back from here a couple of weeks ago (myself, girlfriend and 2 friends) and absolutely loved dew shore bungalows.
The family that run the resort are so welcoming and genuinely the most hospitable and friendly family ever!
Clean and traditional bungalows were very nice, better than any luxury hotels we stayed at!
The food is out of this world- every dish is cooked to perfection and very well priced
Pool is clean and a great place to relax.
All in all i would rate it a strong 10 out of 10.

The Dew Shore resort is really nice, on the beachfront at Bann Tai. The pool is ideal for chilling during the day and the pool bar is great for a relaxing drink in the evening.

The French guy who works behind the bar was great. He's lived in Thailand for 22 years and was very helpful, giving us lots of hints on what to do and see. He's also happy to stay up chatting with customers at the bar for as long as they want. The bar closes when the last customer leaves! 5* to him for customer service - it's a pity the owners don't provide the same level of service.

I stayed in room A4 and I wouldn't recommend staying in this room. I paid 1500bht a night for a "Mediterranean villa" with twin beds. The room was clean enough so not complaints there but the air conditioning was ancient and they didn't even give us proper bed covers, expecting us to use towels! The air-con had 2 settings - ON and OFF, with no temperature control.

I spoke to other people staying in the hotel and their rooms were all fine and had modern air-con! I'd stay here again, just not in room A4!

The food in the restaurant was pretty good and cheap too. Everything is made to order and the menu lists the source of the ingredients. Everything except the chicken was fresh with the chicken bought in frozen.

The owning family were nice enough but I did get the feeling they try to squeeze every last baht out of the customers. Like another reviewer, 11 of us were crammed in the back of the owner's pickup truck for a trip to haad-rin and he had the cheek to charge each of us 100bht! A taxi would have been the same price and more comfortable.

We were told that the room price included 120bht per person to spend on breakfast each morning. Only after we ordered and finished our meal did they inform us that only the first two pages of the menu were included, so we would need to pay.

The owner’s 3 year old son runs about like crazy during the day keeping guests amused & annoyed in equal measures. Despite the occasional banging of drums and other noise from him, he's really quite cute and already has an eye for the ladies at the age of three!

We visited Koh Phangan during our holiday in Thailand and we stayed in the Dew shore Resort which is located out from the husstle and busstle of haad Rin but still at close distance, for all those who like to party every night .
We found it a good idea to stay out of Haad Rin because the road to haad rin is not that easy with a motor cycle and for those who like to explore all the island it will be much more convenient and cheaper doing it on a motor bike.
At the resort we met Hook barman at the cocktail bar who was very helpful and friendly, and also the doctor Chaweng :).
We had our bungalow right on the beach and it was very nice room.
I surley recommend this resot to my friends.

I stayed four nights at Dew Shore Resort. The stuff is kindly, the place is quiet, the food is great, and if you like to have party at Haad Rin, it's only 15 minutes (by car) away. It's a good place to relax and a good base for exploring the island. The bungalows are very clean and amply. So, i really recommend this resort!

My friend and I have spent our vacation third time already into this verry nice bungalowresort … it were each time fantastically beautiful.
Very nice exempt private company and nice stuff make possible everything around the vacation. The bungalows are a dream likewise the beautiful sunsets.
The resort is a good starting point for trips over the whole island.

So we will come back!
