Situated between Haad Rin and the location of Black moon parties, it is only a walk away from happenings. You don't feel like staying on the Party Island itself at Booms though. You have swaying coconut palm trees and deserted beach right infront of your bungalow and 5 little dogs to play with if bored. The hostess Nok is the sweetest and an amazing cook (ask her to do Massaman Curry). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in Boom's Cafe for four nights during Fullmoon Party time in a Fan Bungalow (400 B per night) right on the beach and we had a really good time.
Nok the owner is very lovely and speaks Thai, English and German very well. She has 6 very cute dogs that run around the place all the time and behave well (f.ex. they do not go onto or into the bungalows!). If you need a taxi or have other wishes just ask her, she is going to help you for sure!
There is a small restaurant with a "book-change-area", where you can also have free WIFI. We ate there all the time - Nok is cooking for you, whenever you're hungry! She is a very good cook. Also try the coconut and banana milkshake :)
Our fan bungalow - right on the beach - was very clean with a big bathroom (you also get bedsheets and toilet paper) and had a hammock.
The beach is beautiful and there are only the few guests from Boom's Cafe staying there! It's a very quiet place - near but far enough away from loud Haad Rin, with the best sunsets we saw on our whole trip. Unfortunately the sea is very flat (you cannot swim there) - but that's normal for the southcoast of Koh Phangan.
To Fullmoon Party we walked down the beach to Haad Rin. It's about a 45 Min walk - very rocky. Back we took a taxi (100 B per person) and it took only 10 Min.
So if you are going to Koh Phangan, stay at this beautiful place, relax and enjoy the silence!

Dear people,

This place is gorgeous! We arrived by taxi and almost fell into the bungalows since the driveway is soooooooo steep-an adventure itself. Our place was a fan bungalow tucked behind the air cons. There we slept like babies since there is no car or scooter passing by or running you over. The place with its enclosed beach is absolutely quiet, relaxing and a great spot to hang out a couple of days.

Nok, the owner of this place, treats you with respect and you feel home after having some nice talks and kinky jokes. Moreover, she cooks like a real chef and is fast like a cyclone.

Grab a motorbike, go to this place and enjoy the stunning view at Ko Samui!

We stayed at this place from August 6th to August 11th 2012, it was so far the better place to stay in the islands of Thailand.

The bungalows are beachfront and the seaview is amazing, we can see Koh Samui. It's very clean and comfortable. You can easily rest in an hammock and escape from the tourists.

Nok, the owner, knows everything on Koh Phangan. She can provide any service you need (tuk-tuk, motorbike rental, laundry, train and boat booking, etc.). On top of it, she's a real Thai chef! We ate there everyday and we really enjoyed it. She can also respond to any of your special meal request.
Her welcome is warm, she's helpful and open-minded.

She also have the best alarm system ever : 6 dogs with lots of energy!!!!!!!!!
Usually I'm afraid of dogs and I have not been afraid any time.

Nok speaks very good English, German and Thai! If you speak French, she will be happy to share some words and phrases with you!!!

We would recommend this place for sure for a trip in Koh Phangan.

This place is without a doubt the best place to stay in koh phangan, we came in August 2012 for the full moon and didn't want to leave. It's easy to get to the main beach (100 baht in a taxi) and the lady who runs it will order you a taxi no problem, it takes about 10 minutes.
The service was out of this world, we felt like we had our own butlers on the beach for the time we were here, the lady who runs it is called Nok and she is brilliant, so nice and helpful and a great great cook!
The beach was 20 steps from our bungalow and there's sun chairs and sitting areas in the shade too. The bungalows were nice and simple-clean, hot water and aircon, there's also wifi in the common areas.
One thing though if you are afraid of dogs maybe look elsewhere as Nok had about 6 dogs, they're not scary and it's better for security at night especially around the full moon when apparently a lot of guest houses get robbed.
I would definitely recommend it-best place in koh phangan!

my wife and I thought that this was one of our favourite places on our entire south east asia trip. It has a wonderfully relaxed beachfront atmosphere and contrary to the other review written, the woman running the place speaks english quite well (she is also fluent in german). Our bungalow was simple and clean, a good deal at 600 baht per night. Two thumbs up for this spot!
