After 2 weeks in busy Chaweng we arrived Haad Yao See Through Resort . The hotel were excatly what we looked for. A quite nice beachfront hotel.
here we could relax. When the adults could be on the mattress reading a book INSIDE the restaurant our son could in the hammock with his Pc with a free internet access. The restaurant was actualy on the beach.
The only drwaback was that the restaurant some times played music we didnt like, but this was not a big issue ;-)

See Through resort is a small, quirky hotel, bar and restaurant on what is, for my money, the best beach in Kho Phangan. Having spent two days in Bangkok and the best part of 24 hours on trains and boats to get here, myself and my two friends were seriously in need of some relaxation and, boy, did we pick the right spot. The building itself is long and thin and raw concrete - sounds weird but it worked. The rooms were good value for the price, not massively luxurious but perfect for the purpose. The beach is amazing and See Through really make the the most of it. Service can be a little slow if you're used to European hotels, but absolutely the norm for Thailand. I found the staff friendly and very discreet - perfectly happy to talk to you but not in your face all the time. There are 4 or 5 neighbouring hotels to explore of a similar small size, and a local shop with ATM, but don't come here if you're looking for a built up area with loads of bars and clubs, this is still a quiet island for chilling out and recharging your batteries.

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights. Rooms are very nice and clean. We had the deluxe pool access room.

Pool was very nice but it was like swimming in a pot, it was soo hot. Some ladders leading up to the rooms from the pool are needed!! Also the sunlounger outside of room was old and had no cushion so could not lie on it unless you want to break your back.

Service at the restaurant was lacksadasical at best, completely indifferent at worst. The young waiters simply could not be bothered! Which is a shame because the restaurant area is very nice.

Breakfast was included in the price, however rubber eggs and cold bacon every morning soon becomes tedious. I suggest a new chef. I am a chef and would not recommend eating here. There's lots of lovely areas to dine but service and food make this resort a no no!!

Sorry see through, you must try harder especially with food and service, come on! They are your biggest earners!

I just be there for first time on my rarely holiday. My main purpose to coming here was for relaxing, but not forgot the party also. This place didn't make me disappointed. First of all for the room, i love this modern style. You guys can't imagine! Swimming pool is next to your room. Every rooms at downstair has their own space of pool. The facilities in room is quite good coz they are still new. The beach is also nice. If you wanna lay down for sunbath with your favourite book, it 's very very chill. Bar and resturant is near the beach, so i didn't waste my time to walk too far, after lay down so much lazy too make a move. Let talk about food, the food is nice looking and good taste, but the most important thing is the staff here are very nice with thai style. keep smiling! i love this place. Everything is cool for me.
At night, the bar is open music i like. I made friends there coz of the cosy atmospher there.
Hope i'll be there again on my next holiday :)

The See Through Resort is located at the Haad Yao beach, which is about 10kms from the main town and pier, and on the other side of the island from the New Moon, Half Moon and Black Moon craziness. The hotel was supposed to be new, and with our price of $56 USD, we were pleased. Not sure how people paid $12 USD as posted before?? We went thru agoda.com, price also the same on www.lastminute.com.au It included breakfast, free wifi in the lobby and restaurant, a poolside room, a/c and a minibar with a free bottle of water each day. The best feature, in our mind, was the admittedly weird shaped long pool, which we literally could slip into off our deck. We had beach loungers and a small deck set also on our deck. The restaurant beach view from the hotel was amazing – you literally had a tiered restaurant deck, with some tables with lounger pillows, and other tables literally at the water’s edge. We watched the snorkelers swim away and the glistening blue water while we inhaled our food.
The only thing we found odd about our hotel was th weird concrete finish to it (the look was meant to be “rough” with distressed wood floors, and the fact that they did not give you bar soap for the bathroom – shower gel only.
The bar and restaurant area came alive at night and was really a gorgeous way to spend the evening. The tide was low, and so the small beach area was filled with tables and chairs. sure, you are away from the main town - which was the allure. There's a few small marts where you can stock up on waters, tanning lotion and snacks. The food in the restaurant is good - and we heard the chef had been there for 17 years with the company. definitely try the fresh grilled fish that you pick at night - what a bargain. Good spread of people --- Germans, Europeans and othrs. some families soem younger mid 20's to 30's couples. Also - Bao and other staff are amazingly friendly and make the experience.
