“Tranquility”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Excellent beachside resort in Koh Phangan. We stayed here for 3 nights in September and loved it. We stayed in one of the beachside huts and it was very clean and comfortable with a nice big bathroom. The beach was spotless as was the whole resort and the staff do an excellent job in keeping it that way. We ate at the resort restaurant a few times and the food was always excellent and very reasonably priced especially the Thai food. The staff were very friendly and helpful if you needed them and helped make the resort the laid back place it is. Koh Phangan is a bit of a party island and this resort is not the ideal place to stay if thats the main purpose of your stay but we did go into Haad Rin for the full moon party and the resort were happy to sort a taxi for us. I would recommend hiring a scooter from the resort, the prices are very good and you can be assured that they won't try and rip you off like some others on the island, it makes it easier when you need to pop into the nearest town ( Thong Sala ) instead of a 45 min walk or 200baht taxi.

I never had written a review before. And this is just our first day here in sabai beach. But I just love this place that I felt responsible to give them a review they deserve. Staying in their beach view hut... Hut is few meters away from the beach. Has a big balcony, big bathroom! All clean... Very relaxing place, nice thai food as well, friendly staff... I can't say more, just love it!

The Hotel is located on a nice private Beach and the rooms are only a few meters from the sea, so you have a very nice view from the room and the balcony. The rooms are kept clean and it has a very big bathroom. The restaurant serves good authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. Outside the Hotel there are a only few other hotels with restaurants, cafes and bars, but you need to go to Thong Sala, 80 Baht per person in a Taxi, to find a little city life. The hotel also rents out Scooters, but they can't offer any kind of Insurance.

A great, friendly place to stay. We had a the green papaya room, which was perfect. If we weren't on the beach, we could sit on our balcony and enjoy the beach view. A 25 minute walk or 50 baht pp ride into town. Great food at great prices right at the hotel. Minimal toiletries, but that was ok since we had enough of our own stuff. They had a few (6 or so) DVDs that you could borrow. We were a couple, but there were quite a few families there who seemed to be enjoying it. Shallow beach. Did feel the rocks in the shower could have been cleaner as they had a bit of green slime on them.
Overall, a wonderful place to be.

We stayed here with our 2 young boys ( 1 and 4) and it was just excellent. Location is close to town but far away from the party zone so it is really quiet, clean and very, very relaxing. The bungalow is right on the beach, very clean and has everything you need, regarding the fact that we were on the beach all day or at the excellent restaurant. We took a motorbike over the island but we never encountered any thing close to Sabai, really this is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed before and would definately go back here if we visit Phangnan again.

Sabai beach is the perfect place to relax!! The staff are absolutely brilliant; always smiling and so happy to help. They work really hard to keep the beach looking awesome and have a lovely relaxed family atmosphere.

There were lots of young families staying when I visited with my partner and it seemed to suit them perfectly. It was also no problem for us because the beach is quite long and it felt like we had it to ourselves the whole time! There is also a fantastic view of a sunset over an island in the distance. The location is away from the party part of Koh Phangan so possibly not ideal for everyone but was perfect for what we wanted when visiting the island.

The bungalows are well located and look great. We had a beach front one and it had both fridge and aircon. It was great to have a couple of deck-chairs outside to help us relax. Would be even better if there was a pool at this resort but with the beach right outside you're room it's not a necessity.

Overall a lovely friendly resort that I would highly recommend.

It is a luxury bungalow resort with a fantastic relaxed vibe. It is very quiet, which is just what we were after and would not suit those looking for the party side of phagnan. 'Good for your sleep' as the taxi driver told us! The family who run it were very helpful and always greeted with a smile. A huge amount of effort is employed with the beach raked daily for example. Something many of the high end resorts on Koh Samui should pick up on! Would highly recommend!
