“Lovely, caring staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We stayed at Cookies resort in early July and stayed in the family room overlooking the pool and beach. We originally had our hotel booked for 8 nights, but unfortunately one of my daughter's got sick so we had to cancel four nights of our holiday. The ladies at the desk were very caring and helped me get my daughter to the doctors. They also provided us with a full refund for the nights that we didn't stay without any problem at all which we greatly appreciated. We wished that we could have stayed there longer! The beach was beautiful and very peaceful and the view from the restaurant was lovely, especially at dusk. Whilst we were there, there weren't many people around so the breakfast was a bit light on and no refills on the OJ (tang??) or coffee - which I think was a bit stingy! Other than that it was very nice and I would recommend staying there if you are after a quiet, relaxing holiday!

We were really happy with our stay here. The view is fantastic and room were great and very clean. Had Salad is a nice beach and there are plenty of restaurants and bars too. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning view!! However, the wall to the rooms where a huge uphill and a bit far depending on which room you had!!! The restaurant was good but ants and spiders could become a little annoying at times but the view takes all your worries away! The beach was VERY shallow and warm with little to none circulation with fresh sea water. The beach has about 5 restaurants to choose from some cheap some a little more costly!!! None the less a beautiful setting!!!

Oh. My. God.

The view from our room was amazing. Considering all the beauty in Thailand, it is no small compliment to say that the view was one of the best. The resort is very quiet and tranquil with a nice restaurant overlooking the beach. Had Salade is much more quiet than Had Rin, for example, so it's a nice place to is back and relax. The beach is a little rockier than some of the others we went to but still extremely beautiful. Most places seem to shut down fairly early so make sure you stock up on water before the bar closes for the night!

Highly recommended if you aren't on a budget and are looking for a great view, relaxation.

Room Tip: If you get a room up the cliff, the climb is worth the view!

Me and my 13 year old son spent 8 night at this wonderful resort. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, everyone is very helpful and friendly. Our TV didn't have the chanel to watch the World cup, but no problem one of the guys who worked in the restaurant invited us to his room to watch, it is like this with everything, if they can help you they do.The bungalow we rented was very big and nice and had a great wiew over Salad beach. If you need any transportation you can buy it at the resort without having spent a baht to much.Only avoid the bungalows up the hill unless you are very fit and don't mind to swet, the hill is really steep.

We only stayed two nights here. Such a shame. It's like a hidden paradise. We were given the room with a tree growing through the verandah and a hammock right beside the pol. Absolute perfection. The beds were comfortable, the air con effective and the shower was good. Nice and clean. We found all the staff to be courteous and friendly as well as efficient. They offered to change our bath and pool towels daily and they were great with our kids.
Breakfast is very good. Generous and lots of options. The dining area is lovely and the cocktails delicious. We travelled with young kids so went to bed early. I could hear people having a great time playing pool and chatting into the evening but it didn't keep us awake. If you have kids, stay near the pool. If you don't maybe stay further up the hill. We tried to keep our kids quiet, especially in the mornings, but that slide into the pool was just too much fun! The highlight of our Thailand stay. Thanks, Cookies team!

We booked the seaview wooden cottage, amazing value for price. Great view from almost all the rooms, breakfast included, quiet location (20 min. taxi from the town, between 100 and 200 bahts taxi per person to different beaches and back to the town, one way). Pros: Huge room with terrace, huge bathroom, aircon, cleanliness, room decoration (we had a living room area with a sofa and floor pillows), location if you´re looking for good sleep and snorkeling, swimming pool, breakfast, in house restaurant, SERVICE (bought for us our way back, booked different activities, and we paid everything including meals with credit card at the end of our stay). Cons: -.
