We first visited Time fo lime in December 2005 and liked it so much that we decided to stay there this time as well.

Tha garden at Time for lime is really beautiful and well kept up, the bungalows themselves are very cozy and has a very "family-feeling" about . The bungalows are quite small with a roof fan and western/thai bathroom, but clean and nice! In the evenings you don't have to go out for dinner since the small restaurant at TFL serves really good thai fusion food (they also serve breakfast, we recommend the rice soup, and lunch, the gazpacho is excellent) and has a great and always friendly staff. We also really recommend the lime shakes!!! The main town Ban Saladan is about 2,5 kilometers away so you have distractions if it's raining, otherwise you can hang in the hammock that's outside every bungalow.

TFL also serves as a dog sanctuary where she takes care of stray dogs, she now has 17 of them, all vaccinated and very friendly.

We also did two cooking classes, which we can really recommend, the teachers (Junie and Sugar) are both very talented in the thai cuisine and the food was good then and has also received good reviews when we made them here in Sweden. From this season they have a long tail trip were you can go squid fishing, even if you don't catch any fish it's a great day out to sea! The staff is also very helpful with booking trips and tuk- tuks.

To sum it up the garden is beautiful, the staff has to be the friendliest in Thailand, the bungalows are a perfect mix of western and thai interior design, the food is excellent and that as well is inspired by both thai and western food and the dogs are very cute!

We booked this hotel while we were staying on Koh Phi Phi for our first nights stay on Koh Lanta. Unfortunately we both came down with a bad case of food poisioning the morning we were to transfer by ferry to Koh Lanta. After an arduous trip we really lucked out with our choice of accomodation. Junie's staff brought us directly to our bungalow and made ginger tea for us. They were really sympathetic to our plight and made us feel really comfortable. The bungalows are lined up along a garden pathway behind the restaurant/cooking school and each has a small verandah with a hammock to lay in. The rooms are fan cooled and have a western/thai style bathroom ensuite. The bungalows are clean and nicely kept and it's just a few steps out the beach. The best part is the cooking school/restaurant just a few steps away and they will bring the food to your room. The owner also runs a dog rescue shelter and has 13 or so dogs but we only saw a few of them at a time and they were all well behaved and friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you don't feel the need to isolate yourself in a hermetically sealed A/C room and want a more relaxed Koh Lanta experience.

As a mother with two little children on her first vacation without them,Time for Lime was the perfect choice for me. The bungalows were simple, clean and "homey." They are located right on the beach. I spent nine days sipping green tea in the bar area, watching the tide come in/out; reading five(!) books in the hammock outside my bungalow and in the gorgeous garden area; walking along the beach. It was peaceful and relaxing, although it took me a few days to get used to the sounds of nature around me. I got the resident cat to sleep in my bungalow so I wasn't lonely. Staff was friendly. Food was good. I only briefly swam in the ocean, but it was warm and still. Made a couple of trips into "town" on a moped and found it easy to get around. Overall a relaxing, quiet vacation. I've heard they now have high speed internet access, which can be both bad and good, depending on if you are tempted to contact the "outside world." I'm going back later this year I hope.
