We had 6 nights at the Twin Lotus in October 2008 and found it to be an excellent hotel.

We had a standard double room at the back of the complex, and although it is quite far from the reception area and restaurant, the hotel has a golf buggy if you don't want to walk, or if it is raining.

Overall the staff were excellent, the grounds were kept in excellent condition, and the food was up to the standard you would expect.

We took the free bicycles on a couple of days and rode into town (10 mins by bike), Other days surf skis and snorkling around the rocks at the north end of the beach were worth doing.

The only downside to the experience was that the hotel was very quiet (although all the hotels along the beach seemed to be quiet), and the pool bars were not open as there were not enough customers to warrant this. I'm sure that this would change in the high season (Nov - Feb according to the staff).

Down the beach, 5 - 10 minute walk away are bars and restaurants if you want to get away from the hotel for a night, and the local town is about 5 minutes by car.

The pictures on the website accurately represent the hotel, so I'm not sure what the earlier reviewer is talking about when he mentions fake photos.

Overall - we would definitely stay at Twin Lotus again, and recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing few days on the beach.
