A recently opened resort that consists of 17 smart rooms, 4 of which are directly on the beach, with the remainder situated around the very long narrow pool. Most rooms have a view of the sea. There are plenty of sun loungers that can be used at the pool or on the beach. Beach towels are provided.
The breakfast is standard for Thailand, pre- cooked eggs in a heated platter, fruits, cereals and breads. There was also a prepared noodle option.
The rooms are spotless with nice bathrooms. Each room has a new flat screened TV. The downside is that there are only 3 English channels and these are bizarrely American Gospel Channels.
The resort has a nice little bar on the beach and you can get your happy hour cocktails between 1600 - 1900hrs. The bar restaurant has a selection of Thai and Indian dishes.
The beach is long and beautiful, the locality has a good selection of restaurants. The restaurants tend to dum down the spices in the food for the Western palette, so if like me, you like your food traditional and spicy, let them know when you place your order.
The majority of locals are Muslim and there are the regular calls to prayer that are piped through loudspeakers at various points in the village, at all hours of the day. On one occasion this was at 0530!!!! Which is fine if you can roll over and go back to sleep. This is really the only break in the otherwise peaceful retreat.
In summary a very nice place that I will happily return to.
