“Low quality beach with many shards”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We stayed at Lantas Lodge which is located right at this beach. This beach is quite rocky and sometimes dirty. But the worst part is the existence of the many shards on the sand which is most likely a result of the beach parties run by the bars. It seems that no bar gives a [--] about the well-being of the sand and beach itself. This was a big disappointment.

“Watch out for the rocks.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

A cool vibe along the length of a long stretch of sand. There are no shortage of restos and bars to lay back and enjoy life with a banana shake or a beer.

If you want to swim arrive early while the tide is a bit higher. By mid afternoon you'll be hitting your feet across the plethora of rocks that line the waters. It's hard to tell that swimming can be dangerous here when tide is up. Bring water shoes or just stick to the hotel pool to save your feet!

On the plus side, the rocks make for unique sunsets. Hopping across the rocks at low tide and peering at various sea life in between the crevices is memorable. A collection of the most beautiful seashells can be found here as well.

“Chilled out bliss with a Rasta vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is a great beach for atmosphere - loads of little Rasta bars and beach huts crowd along this beach giving it a fantastic feel. It's at it's best at night when the bars all light up with incredible colours, fire dancers play along the beach and travellers relax with a cocktail, massage or 'Happy Shake' and watch the sunset. The only real downside is that the beach isn't the best on Koh Lanta - the sand isn't as fine as others and there are quite a few rocks in the shallows but you can find good spots to swim if this is what you want to do. Overall, a great beach - we ended up staying for 6 days!

“Sunset view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

It's a nice beach to view the sunset and take wonderful sunset photos. The beach is right next to the big road, where nobody will miss it.

“Good place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Rocky but beautiful beach, not crowded even in peak season. There's plenty of places to eat and drink like El Greco, Peak Cafe, Meeting Point, Mama Restaurant, Neng's, Isara Buffet, El Greco Greek Taverna, Bulaan, etc ...
