“Good Thai food, good prices but small portions, BEST Tom Yum soup with seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

I find May's kitchen to be the most populated restaurant in the area. This is definitely due to good quality of Thai food (I had Pad Thai and Green Curry which were both nice) and good prices, which are sadly reflected in small portions. Absolutely the best thing I've tried here was Tom Yum Soup with seafood, which was simply brilliant. The biggest drawback of the place is the service, as the waiters don't really speak English and it's hard to communicate on anything else than showing what you'd like to have from the menu.

“quality lunch at reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Enjoyed lunch here: Paenang curry and steamed rice; Fish curry and steamed rice; Chang beer. Got good helpings, nicely cooked.
Owners are a guy from Dublin who has been on Ko Chang for 7 years and built the restaurant. His partner, May, does the cooking.
There is a little bar where it looks like expats hang out.
The restaurants along the roadside from Long Beach to the resort where we are staying (Chaw Ka Cher) don't look much but this is the second place we have tried and really enjoyed the food.
The restaurants on the beach are more expensive, and the helpings not so generous.

“Eating out on Koh Lanta Thailand.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Fantastic Thai food, prepared and cooked by lovely Thai staff, all of whom speak English. There is a small bar..known as The Samba Bar, where many people who live on the Island rub shoulders with local Thai locals. The place is always busy, and a warm welcome is assured, thanks to the many characters who frequent this well known establishment.

“lovely local food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

i really like the spaghetti in green curry! what a nice twist! in general all the food here taste lovely. it seems like they can do magic hahaha. a little bar where you can chill and drink. the thing is, foreign influences is obvious (from guesthouses to dive shops to divers etc everyone is asked to try the food here), not many locals are seen here.
