This was my second stay at Chill Out. The owner,Neng, picked us up at the pier. First stop was the market to buy lunch - delicious grilled fish for a couple of pounds. On to Chill Out to show my companion our bamboo hut. The place has developed since I was here last. The penthouse is almost finished, adding 4 more rooms to capacity . Like me my companion loved the simplicity of the place. Neng and Nikki were wonderful hosts, as ever, despite coping with a new baby and a visit from relatives whilst we were there.
The weather was miserable but Neng organised trips to Kayaking and Thai boxing at much less than the advertised price. The massage at Funky Fish, 2 minutes walk away on the beach, was unbelievably wonderful for about 5 pounds. Loads of restraunts on the beach or - more cheaply - on the main road, 5 minutes walk away
So Chill Out is a marvellous place to stay, eat and/or drink. I can guarantee you'll have fun at rock bottom prices as long as you " get" the concept.
