“Nice family run resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012 via mobile

We just stayed 2 nights here and loved it! The keywords are spotless, friendly, quiet and amazing views. The regular bungalows are indeed rather small and some extra shelves or table to put your luggage would be a nice improvement. However, when you sit on your deck with a drink you will forget about this.

New: they haved just added some hardware and now you have WiFi all over the place; also in the bungalows.

Two weeks after our wonderful time at the Nice 'n' Easy we are still totally homesick for that lovely place. Ying and Lek are the best and most charming hosts you can imagine, Lek is a fabulous cook (don't hesitate to ask him for the fresh fish!), the beach is vast, almost empty and sooo beautiful, the garden looks like paradise and the bungalows are cute with excellent beds and a perfect little veranda. This is holiday-perfection.

If you like a small, laid back and quiet bungalow on the beach, this one is for you. Only 10 spartan, but clean and comfortable bungalows. Nice, clean pool. Away from the hubbub. Family owned and operated. The kitchen staffed by both grandmas cooking home style Thai food. Several beach front restaurants in walking distance.
You can relax and take it easy here.

We spent 1 week at this resort in Nov 2011. We were 2 adults and 2 kids in the family room.
The reservation organised with Ying by emails/phone calls went smoothly as well as the reservation for the transportation from/to Krabi airport. The trip is really nice.
The family room is simple, very nice, comfortable and clean. We had a great suspended baby cot installed that our 1y old child liked very much. The resort with the pool and direct access to the beach is perfect. One can relax on Thai mattress and keep an eye on the kids playing in the sand. There are always some shaded parts around pool/beach. The resort is at the end of the Klong Khong Beach, nicely quieter and restaurant/shops are accessible within 3-15min walking. The food cooked by Lek is just superb. The restaurant is near the family room so we could monitor the sleeping kids with baby phone and enjoy our romantic dinner. Did I mention that the sunset is spectacular? And that the sound of the waves is so relaxing at night?
We were spoiled as nearly the only guests and Ying, Lek and their son Poon welcomed us so kindly, always here to help. All the kids played together, sharing all the toys and my kids had a brilliant time.
Ying recommendations (transportation/shops/hotel in Krabi) were always very useful.
My only reserve would be about the mosquitoes, but all the beds/cot had a net set up and this is SE Asia usual “friends” on the evening.
I plan to come back soon!

In short, this place is as close to paradise as I can imagine. The owners Ying and Lek go out of their way to make you feel at home. The locations ideal as it is away for the touristy resorts closer to town but is only a short motorbike ride away.

Contrary to the other reviews, hot showers are now installed in the bungalows. I specifically asked about that before booking and can confirm it first hand. The bungalows are small but the rest of the place more than makes up for it. The pool is warm and clean. The gardens are decorated with beautiful floating plants and cute little ceramic statues. My favorite spot was on a sun chair under a big tree overlooking the beach with cocktail in hand.

You won't regret staying here.

We stayed here for about a week and had a great experience. Originally had booked for 4 days but we extended it. Lek and Ying were great hosts, day or night. Lek made us some great meals, which got even better the more we appreciated his originality and moved away from white people food. We mentioned wanting fresh fish and crab. They went out three mornings in a row to the local fisherman and got us exactly what we wanted, for a great price and made it for us each night. I bought some artwork and Ying wrapped it and posted it for us, just added it on to our bill. Just an example of the great service they offer.
I love the location, which is far enough from the busy loud area. But just a short moped ride away.
The only downside was I found the bungalows small. There was no where to hang my clothes or put my suitcase. Just a square room, which was clean, but I was not fond of having to spread my stuff out for all of the critters to crawl into.
Not a fan of cold water showers either. No hot water in a shower makes it very hard to shave legs and leaves lots of blood!. A cold shower is nice in the heat but first thing in the morning, not so much.
Thunderstorm and lightning storm views from the beach with a drink in hand are some of my favourite memories from Koh Lanta.
