“Best Sleep EVER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2011

We arrived at Banana Garden after fleeing another place and were in heaven after the night we had passed before arriving at BG!
The Bungalows were big and spacious! A/C, Fridge, bathroom, HUGE bed, and the most important the bed was SUPER comfortable!!! Ahhhh I thought before heading out on our trip that I could sleep on anything, but WOW the beds in Thailand are really really really HARD, at Banana they were perfect for me, ahhhh just thinking about it... Our stay here was actually the only few days the entire 3 weeks where I fell asleep and the next time I woke up it was the morning!

Like everyone else has been saying Bungalows were super clean, the fruit and water everyday was excellent, the staff was super. We rented a scooter for 2 days, great price!
In a great Location as well, down a little road from the main road on the Island. so you don't hear any traffic, plus we had no problems with noise, as the bungalows aren't the bamboo bungalows everything is a little more soundproof and private. We had a great stay!

We ate at the resto one night, and it was ok. I wonder if maybe they didn't have the supplies they normally have because of the flooding in Bangkok. We had tried to order some ice cream earlier in the day and were told that due to the flood they didn't have any they just had the bars, no problem though we just went to the main road and found a store that did...

Banana Garden Home is a wonderful property right on the beach in Khlong Dao.

The cottages are set back from the beach but still very close to the water. Each cottage has it's own verandah area so you can sit outdoors and enjoy the tropical location. The rooms come equipped with ensuite bathroom, A/C, mosquito net and a large fridge to keep drinks cool. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cleaned every day. Free wifi is available throughout the property.

Breakfast can be served on your verandah - coffee with toast, or if you want more you can go down to the restaurant for eggs etc (not included in room rate). Each afternoon fresh fruit is put in your fridge & fresh bottles of water.

The staff are extra special - so friendly and helpful and the manager, Annie, is on top of everything, always looking to get the best for her guests.

The restaurant at BGH is fantastic! Every day fresh ingredients, including great fish and seafood. We tried a few other places on the beach for food but nothing was as good as at Banana Garden Home.

Another great attraction is the bar next door - the Indian. They serve great cocktails has a good vibe and Pas, the owner, is very friendly.

Definitely coming back here when we go back to Koh Lanta!

It took us a couple of days to settle into Banana Garden Home. After a 2 hour wait at Krabi Airport for the supposed pre-booked minivan we were tired and "Crabby" when we arrived at Banana Garden Home; only to find that the bungalows did not have a sea view as noted in the emails when we booked. This was a bad start. But as we stayed for 7 days every day got better and better. The log-cabins are set in three lines at right angles to the beach, behind the restaurant, the furtherest being about a 2 minute walk. The beach is the best on Ko Lanta; good swimming. The rooms are very clean, bed comfy, shower had a weak stream of warm water, small deck that was very close to the deck of the cabin accross the path. Breakfast is only toast and jam and tea/coffee. Each afternoon a small plate of fruit is left in your fridge. On the whole staff we very polite and friendly on the whole. Only had one meal in restaurant and was disappointed; much better options on the main road. Bungalows are 200 metres down a lane/track off the main road. Good prices on scooter hire; day trips and transport to Krabi. Best single feature of our stay was the "Indian Bar" on the beach right next door; owner Pas and Tom were really friendly guys. It is a good budget option, but not so sure it deserves the rave reviews it gets.

I can only echo what other people have said - Banana Garden Home was an amazing place to stay in our last leg of our trip in Thailand.

The bungalows are clean, with a/c, hot shower and mosquito net. The restaurant attached to the Banana Garden Home had just opened when we stayed and the food was amazing with fresh seafood daily.

Enough cannot be said about the hospitality through the manager Annie. She is a gem and a delight - incredibly warm and helpful and makes the stay extra special. She helped with getting the best deal diving, getting bus tix back to krabi and even to updating you on the seafood pick of the day.

We only stayed 3 nights, but will stay longer next time. Thank you Annie!!

We have stayed at Banana Garden twice after reading about it on here and it reallly does deserve 5 stars, it is paradise. We stayed at Banana Garden for the second time in April 2011 and it was fantastic. We have travelled around Thailand and this place is the best we have stayed at. The beach is just 2 mins away, the Indian bar on the beach front is fantastic - excellent cocktails and service and so relaxing, Pas the Indian made our holiday. Annie, the manager of the bungalows really cant do enough for you she went the extra mile i.e. lifts to town, market, snacks. Rooms are cleaned daily and it is so nice to have your breakfast on the veranda every morning. Keep up the good work Annie cant wait to come next April.

Liz and I are going back to BGH next February for our 3rd stay with Annie, and we can hardly wait. Really, there is nothing more to add to all the other comments - the place is just wonderful.
Bless you Annie, Metta and all your staff.
