A stylish, modern restaurant at the far end of Klong Dao beach, with the main seating area upstairs overlooking the cookery school.
The menu is set and the main course/dessert change daily (see website). Three starters, only one main course (choose chicken, fish or veg) and one dessert.
Shrimps wrapped in pepper leaves as a starter were absolutely divine, but there was also spring rolls or tempura prawns as alternatives. The main course of caramelized king mackerel (boyfriend had chicken option) on a bed of mango salsa was also delicious and beautifully presented, but both the fish and chicken were overcooked. A rich chocolate mousse was a perfect end to the meal.
Service was initially very attentive (maybe even a bit intrusive, as the young English waiter wanted to engage in a conversation) but then disappeared totally, so we were left with empty main course plates for well over half an hour. I think they had forgotten that we were upstairs! Not a big problem though, as it was a lovely place to relax and drink wine.
Overall, well worth the visit, and the nicest dining experience we had on Ko Lanta
