I just finished a 7 day stay at Lanta Full Moon Bay View Resort and I loved almost every minute of it!

The room was cheap 700Baht (around $20) a night, the people were extremely friendly and helpful, it was clean, the food was great and cheap (around 100Baht $3 per person or less!)

The pool is great, the water is warm and clean. The beach is great when the high tide is in, and as the tide goes out you can snorkel and watch interesting fish swim around. There are small crabs bolting across the sand and digging little holes and geckos chirping in trees. The staff keeps several cats around and they are all very friendly and sweet animals. I think that accounts for the lack of mice :)

The owners helped me book all of my excursions, they were very knowledgeable and helpful. I had so much fun and relaxation thanks to them. Anything I needed they helped me out with it. They also have a computer hooked up to the internet that you can use for free.

There are only a few negatives about this place. There are no mosquito nets and the beach is a bit rocky unless you swim at high tide. But the price and the wonderful people totally make up for that.

As an added bonus there is a 7eleven just down the street from the resort with an ATM and candy :) Also there is only one other resort on this stretch of beach. It is really quiet and relaxing, but just a short (really short) beach walk to the happening places.

I came primarily to relax and I got more than I expected. Oh and I forgot to add that their bar tender is awesome! He makes beautiful drinks that are really tasty (about 140-150Baht) and he is super nice (like everyone that works here!)
