Paid 1200 bust for myself, husband and daughter. Enjoyed seeing the sights. The river is dirty but good way to see it all boat trip was one hour but instead of taking us back to where we started we ended up at Wat Po (sleeping Buddha. )
Saw a few lizards that live in river, look more like crocodiles.
Worth a try!

They must have seen us coming!! Charged us 1000 baht for a river cruise to the temple which was private so no other passengers. Just to put this into perspective we got a ferry back and it cost 3 baht!!!! Fuming isn't the word but I was too hungover to think straight. The river itself is very dirty and not particularly scenic. Got to do it once though in Bangkok.

You will have an amazing view of different temples when you ride a boat in Chao Praya River but this river is dirty and even saw a crocodile during my trip. But, this is a very good experience for a local life. And, perfect if you like to do travel photography.

You can get a boat ride here on the river that winds through the city and you can actually see a few of the temple ruins from the river. On the banks of the river you can buy fish food and feed the Red Tail Catfish. When you feed one, you will see thousands. They almost crawl over each other to eat. Pretty cool.

Do not swim in this river be careful taking boat rides along it . No sewerage systems in Thailand everything including factories send there waste into all the rivers. The heat makes it a smelly place to be . Shame as Thailand is a beautiful country but the river systems are BAD. GERMS CAN BE CUAGHT FROM AIR BORNE SPRAY.
