The deck of Baan Khun Phra overlooks the river and is attached to a grand old house whose name derives from royal permission to use the title. Large trees shade the deck and the river traffic rolls by steadily - at least five barge trains passed while we ate. The wait staff was entertaining, obliging and intelligent; not hovering but attentive. Mosquito coils were provided without requesting them. The food was average. The green curry vegetarian was a bit watery, but the stir fried tofu and cashew filling and tasty. The pad Thai was average, the lemon drink perfect. The food is about what you would expect from a restaurant that seems to be an add on to a guesthouse. Eat there, enjoy the river and the day, but don't expect fantastic food.
