The good thing about this hotel is it's location. The main temples are all within 2-3 km and Dhanushkodi is a quick drive and doesn't involve going through the town. Having said that, Rameshwaram is a very small island and location alone shouldn't be a deciding factor in choosing a hotel.
The problems with the hotel are a perceptible lack of hygiene in the restaurant, poor breakfast spread, a serious mosquito menace and wafer thin walls which make sleep quality terrible. We stayed for two nights. On the second night, we could hear conversations in the corridor early in the morning (from 3 AM onwards!) that made sleeping very difficult. There were a bunch of pilgrims preparing for an early morning darshan. This is obviously more an Indian problem as people generally aren't sensitive to others. However, the walls not being thick enough to muffle corridor conversations didn't help matters either.
The restaurant is what makes this hotel experience a terrible one. The menu options are limited and consist of only some basic north Indian fare. The breakfast spread is poor. The place looks understaffed and hence efficiency isn't very good. There are flies all over and that certainly doesn't help build an appetite. We went for dinner to Daiwik on the second night and enjoyed that experience immensely.
The staff however was very courteous and helpful and showed an eagerness to do all they could to make our stay a comfortable one.
