After looking through the reviews for a lot of resorts in Kodai, we bottomed out on Villa retreat and we are glad that we chose Villa retreat. Things went really smooth right from online booking on their site http://villaretreat.com/, pick up from kodai road, local site seeing arrangements and drop back to dindugul. The resort is set up at an amazing location that is almost on the top of a hill just below Coaker's walk. We booked the "Classic" rooms and had a great view of the valley. People in the resort and food was really great though the food choices were a bit limited. You can sit in the garden, enjoy the valley view as you dine.
Some of the negatives that I saw was,
The classic room looked big in the photographs but actually was smaller in reality, especially the cot size was small considering Myself, My wife & my 3 year old daughter to fit into the cot
Food prices were a bit on the higher side, for e.g., a cup of boost was charged at rs 45/- for which you could probably get a 1/2 kg refill for that rate.
But on the whole I would highly recommend villa retreat.
