Villa Retreat --- A Perfect Stay
We stayed for a night at Villa Retreat in Kodaikanal. The best part of this hotel is its location. It has a fantastic valley view and other places like coaker’s walk, Kodai lake and Bryant park are in just five minutes walking distance from the hotel. Though the hotel is located in the heart of the town, there is no noise; it’s a quiet place. Hotel has a small garden with seating arrangements facing the valley.
As far as accommodation concerned, we stayed in room no -104. Though it is a very small room, furniture are neatly arranged, clean and well maintained. The room has a valley view as well as garden view. The hotel has a 24-hour hot water and power back-up facilities.
Hotel staffs are good, friendly and courteous. Their service is appreciable and we loved their hospitality. Special thanks to one Mr Javed for all the arrangements you made for us.
Regarding the restaurant, though we liked the taste of food and service, we were not impressed much. There is no complaint regarding the quality and quantity of the food. But they should keep open the restaurant during evenings. During our visit, when we came back from sight seeing at around 5 PM, there was no food available in the restaurant (We were really hungry and had missed our lunch). That is the only negative point we faced during our stay in Villa Retreat.
Totally, Villa Retreat is good hotel for a comfortable stay.
