-Unclean room, unhelpful staff, difficult to approach
Went to Kodaikanal for a weekend trip in June. Even in June, Kodaikanal is cold and you need hot water to bathe. When I reached the hotel, the hotel informed me that hot water is available only in the morning for a few hours. For guests arriving in the afternoon, they can't arrange hot water.
We were not pleased when a room full of flies welcomed us. Even though the room was spacious, the furniture was not good at all. Bathroom door wouldnt close and there was no wardrobe.
To reach the hotel, you need to climb down steeply(30-40degrees) which is not good for old people/people with kids
And yeah, we didnt have the courage to try out their restaurant..
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Hotel Silver Springs is a newly constructed hotel by the side of a Silver Springs. Located on the highway at the entrance of Kodaikanal town in a place that is very easy to reach. Even though the hotel is situated very close to the town, since the hotel is surrounded by more of greenery and a spring, one would feel like staying in an isolated place without the disturbances of the vehicular traffic noise or any other inconveniences. ... more less
