I visited Fort Madhogarh as part of an Intrepid Classic Rajasthan trip in November 2013, and for me it was a highlight. It is by no means a 5-star hotel; do not go there expecting luxury, you will be disappointed. Also be aware that it's in a rural village setting, off the beaten track (for me, this is part of the charm). It is quirky and unique, peaceful and the staff are wonderful. The meals were great. The village walk was lots of fun and it was great meeting the locals. As suggested by a previous reviewer, the best thing to give the children is photos - post them back to the hotel or to Intrepid to give out. Each room is different. I had fans, and a hot water heater in the bathroom. We did lose power for some time, but really I felt that just added to the ambience! We had a great dress up dinner organised by our group leader Ajay Singh. Being woken at 5am by prayer call, and taking in sunrise and breakfast from the roof, was magical.
